PDS/Warlords cooperation
As of today, I will be working on a "movie style" Warlords mod using the V9.0 Alpha 5 AI which is unfortunately, missing from the present release. Daniel Hawking is working on an interim fix over the weekend.

The PDS/Star Wars hybrid will feature such things as MC80s maneuvering to get into each other's weak points instead of sitting there and firing - in this respect, inspiration is drawn more from the SW books than the movies which focus on fighter combat.

The first mini-project on this collaboration is to model the operations of small taskgroups, for instance, a blockade runner squadron and a ISD plus support craft.

Later on there may arise the case that some lesser known Star Wars ships will make a (cameo?) appearance in PDS after going missing on the transgalactic spacelanes.

Just like in V9, there will be a balance between tactical dogfighting and strategic fleet maneuvering.

Why do you think I delegated so much stuff for PDS-AS and 7.2? This paves the way for further developments at my leisure.

I intend for PDS3 to serve as an operational testbed for my studies in military strategy and coalition operations. So be warned - this is a personal vision. That plays much better than any PDS project so far.
