The Bloodhound III will be an effective vessel. However, we believe we have
reached the limits of what may be added to the existing hull. We will therefore
be commencing a complete rebuild using fifth generation technologies. Once the
final FB refit is in production, this new project also will led by Anamehej Tesh
Mueki Paktu.
This ship will be designated Destroyer class. While it will no doubt be
effective against the same targets as the Bloodhound III, it will have weaponry
sufficient to engage larger targets with higher expectations for success.
The hull of the Bloodhound is an efficient design, and we will be using the same
basic layout for ease of maintenance and familiarization. But the entire
structure will be made from newer materials, leaving us a great deal more room
to put in equipment and plating versus purely structural needs.
The Scythe class Destroyer's systems are conceived of as follows:
? Completely 5g structure. Due to even more mass savings over the
Bloodhound II-EC, the Scythe may be even more maneuverable than the FA refit.
? Drive systems almost identical to the FA. Those systems are of course
more easily rebuilt than an entire spaceframe.
? 6x ICA180, 8x ICA100
? A small number of ICA100s may be substituted with pulsars. Exact number
to be determined through simulation testing.
? Quad PC40 turrets will be used for point defense.
? HVM, MRAM2, SRAM launch capabilities will be similar, if not identical,
to the Bloodhound III.
? Other kinetic armaments are unlikely to be necessary, but as they are
tried and tested systems, some may be included.
Design input will be coordinated through Anamehej Paktu.
