Defense Field Effects?

Posts: 54 Joined: September 09 2005	Just wondering since I actually tried vanilla HW2 earlier and the AI of course built a DF Frigate, and I've noticed it in one or two videos.. are Higarran ships supposed to produce the usual bubble effect? Or has that been superceded by an LDS-style 'projectile blows up before it gets there'? If the fireball can't be seen from orbit you obviously aren't trying hard enough. There is no 'overkill' only 'open fire' and 'I need to reload'. -Schlock Mercenary

Posts: 2598 Joined: August 30 2005	The latter deduction is correct. The blue field wasn't projecting the right image (pun) and would eat up lots of your CPU time if I put it on every boat.
