The URL tag has limitations than can trick You!
Homdax
This addresses the use of the [ url ] tag, without the extra spaces.

Normally you wrap the tag around a www and/or http:// adress to make it a link.

Like so:
[ url ] www.pds.homeworldaccess.net [ /url ]

which results in:
www.pds.homeworldaccess.net

All OK.

BUT, if the starting [ url ] tag is on the line above the address, like this:

[ url ]
www.pds.homeworldaccess.net[ /url ]

it still looks like an URL but the link does NOT work.
Example:
[url]
www.pds.homeworldaccess.net[/url]

Looks ok, but does not work.

Same for URL tags on entirely different line:
[ url ]
www.pds.homeworldaccess.net
[ /url ]

Example:
[url]
www.pds.homeworldaccess.net
[/url]
and if the finishing tag is on a different line:

[ url ]www.pds.homeworldaccess.net
[ /url ]

Please take this into account when posting longer links that may accidentally add a linebreak.
STARTING AND FINISHING URL TAGS ON SAME LINE!

Issue has been reported to CMS developer, and answer is expected.

What do we do in order to link long URL's that might by necessity go over an entire line?

You could [ url= ][ /url ], it worked for me, but I don't know if the url was too long to be done the other way.

Normally the urls should expand in their entire length, thus making the page wider until it fits. At least I assume that. Maybe there is a limit but I have no 3 meter url to test with...Pfft

Regarding gallery urls, if You mean those, Unkn0wn, I refer to my post here: http://www.pds.homeworldaccess.net/fo...read_id=82

The thing is that gallery should have a "short url" feature, but it seems it is only valid under those mentioned circumstances; when looking at picture outside gallery layout after clicking the link below every picture "Download Photo".

This should now be irrelevant.
