I was just typing down an anouncement on this.  (I edited Your post, Iron, to reflect the subject a little better) First of all this has been thought of for some time and does not come upon You lightly. Second, I am willing to discuss the banner placement and size based upon available here https://www.google.com/adsense/adformats This is to be considered a financial resource. To improve my overall hosting capabilities and Your PDS online presence. Tel'Quessir and I have already discussed some matters that may be done in a near future. Believe me, I was reluctant at first, but I have real cash on my account, very little though at this time, for practically no effort at all. It is my initiative, Tel'Quessir has agreed based on above premises. I do not expect this to render any 100's or 1000's of dollars per month, but if it gives me 20-30 per month overall (it is being implemented on all my sites where it is possible) it will still be enough for significant server improvements, not just for You but for many others. Calm the hell down! I'm guessing that Homy put Google AdSense here to help alleviate the strain on his wallet. Helps pay off the servers, or some other thing I'm not fully aware of that relates to HWAccess sites.

I knew this day would come. But explain this. How are random advertisments about DLL repair or Molotov brand cocktails or crappy 80s music CDs going to turn a noticable profit? And why Google? Google is my arch nemisis next to gravity and hippies and Sales Tax and Gasoline and cedar seeds in my pool and this guy  and Kanye west and Headcrabs and sanitation workers strikes and the Alaskan mafia and turnips and the Tigard intersection and sports drink and mobile morphine distilleries and THQ and :spam:.They've brought this upon themselves |

The ads are based on words Google find on this site. If You find stuff like that, it must be related somehow :uhoh: It is said it will learn to make better matches. Gimme options. Free. I am willing to discuss this and I respect feedback, but if You can not suggest an alternative...well. As for profit, based on what? I only need a few bucks a month to make improvements. Sure I could spend that money myself, but it feels so much better having a financially selfsustained web. :thumb: I do not expect any profit. Homy - you do the work on the site, you volunteer the time and effort, so it is your option. I have no issue at all with you getting something for your work. If Tel is good with it, then there is no real issue. Pay no attention to Iron, he is from Oregon, they are unhappy about everything. |

Oregon is on the Pacific coast, really is a beautiful place, with lots of agriculture and high tech. As with most countries everybody makes jokes about other parts of the country. Wait till Iron reads this and starts making jokes about the Southeast US, where I live. When and if you make the choice... :beer: |

I suspect Iron to be paid by Google, because I would never have noticed the google ads without his post. Those ads are strange anyway, here is an example: "Gundam Wing - Bruce Lee, Will Smith, Jean Gabin - Visit eBay" o.O |

Relaxation: I am not sure, but I think that if You have AdBlock active Google will not detect that hit/visit...meaning LESS MONEY...   Thank You, soo very much... Tel!
