"G:\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -overrideBigFile Try putting the quotation marks like: "G:\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe -overrideBigFile" or skipping them entirely. Trial and error. I noticed You have "C:\HOMEWO~1" as working directory. Try to correct that, or use "HOMEWO~1" in both places. Tinker with it and let us know what worked. That is W2000 or XP so it should not need the DOS style short name. Edited by Homdax on 01-04-2006 16:29 king-o'da'bigfile

The command-line is case sensitive under certain OS. Make sure it is -overrideBigFile (with a blank space before) and not -overridebigfile. |

I came to think of one issue. Since it is XP or w2000 (which is it?) You may need administrative rights to get that stuff working correctly. Is it Your own computer with Your own single account, or is it, sorta, Your dads PC with Your limited user account?

Hello there, I'm getting exactly the same problems. I'm running windows XP corporate SP2, I am the administrator, yet when I put "directory/program.exe" -overridebigfile the quotation marks just dissappear. I can run the game, but it gives me vanillia units, that get torn to pieces by the new ships. Not fun! Also, there's a lot of different files, and it's really confusing? What is the most recent PDS/NGCS TC? Which one should I run? (I prefer stable over beta) Never get these troubles on windows 2000, but now games are being written to make it obsolete (AoE3, sims2 come to mind) |

Three options on what to run. Both are as complete as they can be in the present: V7.6 (that's a full install) NGCS beta 2 + readme file V7.0 + 7.2 (note that this 7.2 is also called "8.0 beta phase 1") + that Longinus marine frigate upgrade you can find on the forums. |

Sure - if you'd care to make it happen. |
