As of 9/10/05, the Disputed Campaign shall be continued. Every two weeks a mission shall be updated unless problems arise, which notice shall be posted here. If you have downloaded any maps from this site before today, I recommend you re-download them. Otherwise many complications will arise. First and foremost, I shall explain a bit what the Disputed Campaign is. The Disputed Campaign is a collection of maps that I shall make that take the player to various locations. They shall range from the Inner Sphere of Hiigaran Space to the very outskirts of Kharak. They unfold a story about a small strikeforce group trying to protect their presence from an enemy. Whether you are Vaygr, Hiigaran, etc, this story shall work around you, you don't have to work around it. Maps are playable with any race and position. Usually maps will be 4 player to reduce lag, but I may invariably do 2 player or even 6 player. As you may have noticed, there are only a limited amount of backgrounds at my disposal (m01 - m15, black, and white), I expect to create some of my own to implement using the BTG tool released on the relic boards. Understand that there are many limitations to this tool and that you will be able to tell the difference between my backgrounds and the original. Nevertheless they add a new level of map design and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. All technicalities are arranged on the site, read the instructions and you shall be fine. Enjoy! Hmmm...... there is allways the possibility of trying to import the old HomeWorld backgrounds. They are still really good and would probably need a few minor tweaks. |
