Alright, to the point, What the f**k is wrong. I installed the 8.0 zip files like all the other PDS stuff in the past and every time I go to start a game, the damn thing crashes. Upon further investigation, I've discovered that the .ship files are the culprit. Now I want answers! And you all know how impatent I can be in the morning. Why is it crashing? What can I do to make it work? And who or what is responsible for this? I need to know, and you know how I get. *Begins rampaging through town making a nusince of myself in any way possible* |

If you're using the PDS7 BIG file, scrap it. Use the PDS7 non-big. I went through 3 re-installs before I came to notice that you need to use the lowtech version. Unless you want to take the pds7 big file and place all the new version 8 files into it. A pain I know, but it works. -Fear the Might of the Imperial Cortharian Fleet

They are to be installed over 7.0, right? Did you install 8.0 fresh or over 7.0? |

Over v7.0, but the problem lies with the ship files. everything works out fine. I went and replaced the Supermonitor, PoHIV, LiirHra, and the .HOD file for the marquess. I also added the Laxamana folder, but now every time it goes to load a game, it crashes. |

Wow that's odd. make a new install, update it with the HW patch, install PDS7, non big, apply all of PDS8 overwriting everything else. It's all I can suggest.
