Now i know tel will get on me big for this but mission two is way overdone. You say its a challenge but this is a bit much. LIST 1. You give us some fighters, but not nearly as many as the vaygr or enough to take down the sorceress. 2. You give us a cap ship, but one that is ineffective and weak against others, yada yada yada it can't hurt the sorceress. 3. The last option is to build more ships, but we don't have enough money to build more than one more bomber or a bunch of useless drones. 4. The enemy has more ships, more advanced ships, and the ability to make more ships. Now tel please tell me why you did this, do not yell at me cuz im tired of everyone bitching about people who wonder why mission two is overdone. Ive tried this mission for a day now so plz tell me why you would put us through this pain. :master::wow: |

The challenge, I repeat, was -deliberately- created to simulate a RL instance where you don't have immediate force superiority to counteract that of the enemy. How will you in RL solve such a problem? There is no need to resort to solutions like having the witch chase the auxiliary carrier around - infact I do all my M02 runs with all forces engaged continuously, and I don't lose anything but fighters and a couple of frigates in doing so. (I try to have the Nightingale intact at the end, however). Now, quit demanding a solution and don't say that I don't give you enough mission resources, either. I'm sure we can settle this privately too, and you don't go about your social life in RL shouting at people THIS ISN'T FAIR, do you? You probably don't and I appreciate your enthiusiasm. I'll answer your PM once you send me a log of what you do in-mission and I will advise accordingly. Solve M02 and the rest of the missions are really, a piece of cake since you then have access to overwhelming firepower on demand. Edited by TelQuessir on 21-02-2006 04:57 |

the iskandar shah was a great idea, that thing kicks sooo much ass, sorry about that im just very frustrated because i keep reading the forums and trying what people say and it doesn't work. Im probably not super good at homeworld 2 but im good enough to usually win. Now ive been playing this most of the day. PDS is great and should have been the release version of homeworld 2. Just to show i dont always complain, i just complain because i love it |

What? That reminds me of "advanced boy-girl relationships" where the wife complains because she loves her husband? J/k I won't post a walkthrough anywhere on this site as it tends to ruin that factor of experiential learning involved in (trying to) solving masochistically designed scenarios ![]() So give me a rundown of what you did, in PM, if you want more solid tactical advice. Or are you properly motivated enough that you still want to lose men and materiel in a seemingly hopeless battle against a superior foe? ![]() |

There're no minelaying anything in PDS, they have been removed. The minelaying option was used for anti-munitions defense, but I think waypointing alreayd accomplishes that. |

NO SPOONFEEDING. And I've already stated the best solution to your "problem" there. |
