Well, this is my first post, so... hello ![]() I'm playing PDS for some time now, and i was wondering what kind of machine i need to play it without big speed problems, cause my frames often slow down to about 5-10, not so funny to play. When i saw the official part 3 video, i was amazed that everything went perfectly with no slow downs. Here is my system: -Amd Athlon XP 2700+ -1536 MB Ram by Corsair (advertisment ^^) clocked at 200 mhz speed -Geforce 6600 Gt Agp with 128 mbs of ram -Windows XP (dunno if you need this too ^^) I'm playing the game without shadows and i disabled anti aliasing manually in the driver. is it possible to tweak the game a bit to make it more playable? I will later (after school) try to make some changes to the Cap files for skirmish games. besides, your mod makes homeworld 2 the best space sim / strategy game i've ever played. keep up the good work  |

Hi Shadowman! Being a mac user, I can't tell about your system specs. What I can tell is that the v7.1 weapon redesign greatly improved fluidity on my computer; if you have not 'upgraded' to 7.1, you should give it a try. |

Look at Tel's 'welcome post' on the home page (in the middle of the post); there is a link to his storage space on filefront where you can find the 7.1 files. |

Trust your own judgment! That is the one. ![]() Put its contents within the unarchived pds 7.0 (not the .big file), that is into the same directories, replacing older files when necessary (always replace files, never the folders). |
