I think that releasing PDS via a torrent will make it much easier to distribute than hosting on filefront, thats just me though... Oh, Hi by the way. Ive been lurking here for quite some time. |

Awaiting Tel'Quessirs reply on this. I think that if You are not used to Torrent software, PDS should not be the excuse to get it. Spyware and stuff is only the first name of the problems that may occur. And it always takes 36 to 72 hours before a reasonable amount of distributors are up and running. Dont get me wrong, it is a great way of distributing software, but considering both Tel'Quessir and I have each one of us a Filefront account, well I do not see the need. Unless of course PDS 7.0 jumps to 200 MB or something. With two Filefront accounts, which both provide download statistics, a decent distribution source is almost 100% certain. Aye, FTP can be used for "emergency" cases. Until someone steps up to point out a more reliable source of free, and no nonsense large-file hosting than FileFront, I expect to see no complaints regarding our mode of public proliferation. |
