by Christopher Anvil edited by Eric Flint This book deserves mention for its similarity to our "RP2" Karelian sector experiment, using a conceptual area of space for a means of roleplay. Interstellar Patrol published by Baen is a collection of short stories that come together, and they are very rich in character interaction. Almost everything described in the stories can be easily referenced to real-life events or factors, and it is a very addictive read. The presentation is almost like the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy but is serious in the right places. Thusly, if you want a fast-paced space adventure for entertainment or to get inspiration for PDS writings, this is the book to get. Edited by TelQuessir on 08-11-2005 05:16 |
