Hey guys, I've been playing PDS since v.5 and love the new stuff. But I can't stand the radio chatter ("This is a cakewalk" etc.) and my roommate is threatening to kill me if they keep it up. Everytime I select my Fleets and attack an enemy it's nonstop annoyance.. What files do I need to delete in the .big file to remove the radio chatter from the game? Thanks. |

Try headphones. Or go to optionsmenu and select audio options under that you can find an option called battle chatter it can be turned dopwn to low cant rember if it can be turned off . Also try turning down ingame voice options on same menu. |

Sensors manager voices are unmodded as of yet and thus the issue of overrepetition remains. Everything else is stated above. |

fixx0red The problem is in the chatter.lua, where the probability for "battle momentum" chatter is aligned on the "command" chatter (almost no limit to repetition and still broadcasting when the camera is very far). The attached file resets it to the Vanilla HW2 probability. Put it in the data/soundscripts/speechlogic/ folder and replace the existing file. Or you can keep things as they are if you like cakewalks ;-) Edit: ahem... file attached
Sun Tzu attached the following file:

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I ended up just removing the chatter.lau completely and repackaging the .big file. Seems to work fine now.![]() |
