have someone read this story? i have a question: is programmed a new faction in pds with the our oldest enemy? i want see the taidan back in action and the best may be control the new battle cruiser that with one shot destroy the liirha! |

I believe that the Vayger are beginning to show signs of Taiidan influence- but 1 shot to destroy a Liirhra? Talk about overpowered. |

What about launching an asteroid out of orbit, Taidanii did it in HW 1. Of course they had vectors and presented the only viable approach to the enemy and timed the launch to coincide precisly with the attacking fleet. |

The Vanaar-Jet is armed with at least two very heavy spinal beam weapons of IC2500 class. Each of those will have the effect of shooting a present-day warship with a 16 inch gun. With "proper motivation" I can establish diplomatic relations with the VJ's modeller and put that ship in-game. But truth be told, the QJE (or even Kaghans) is a far more practical platform for a a general purpose fleet cruiser than yet another spinal weapon ship. |

but the Vanaar-Jet it's very similar to sajuk with the philosophy of "one shot one kill". to darkshaman: the taidan don't destroy litterary the liirha but but all the weapon and subsytem type engine and inertial dampening field was destroyed with the only chance to repair them in a shipyard. after the higarian destroy the cruiser to prevent taidan to take it but if not one shot at least two..... to telquessir: yes the khagan is a very good multi purpose ship but when it's needed destroy some capital ship type shipyard and prince of hiigara destroy all weapon with one shot will be a good strategy or not? p.s.: there is someone working on new taidan faction? do you need help to recruiting some ideas for story or new tecnology, i am a fan of star trek, star wars, etc and when talking about tecnology i am not bad  |

Ah! Let me put an authors spin on the discussion above. First as to the one shot kill. First the Liir-Hra that deployed with Talbock's Task Force (yes a serious revision of the story is in progress, but only to attempt to keep it more closely aligned with PDS) are very early Blocks. Say Block 5 or so. They are not up to current armor and weapon standards. So it is very possible a single shot by a potential 5G ship might cause catastrophic damage. As to the ship that did the shooting, it was originally thought that the Vanaar - Jet would be deployed in PDS (seems like a long time ago we tried that Tel'  , but negotiations never worked. The QJE could likely produce the same effects on a Block 5 Liir-Hra. I realize that there is a picture of the Vaanar in the story (it has been removed in the latest version) however if you notice, I do not give the Vaygr ship a name.As to the increased presence of the Imperials, that was a PDS core thought a long time ago. Whether or not they become dominant in PDS remains Tel?s decision. For the time being, they are providing the Vaygr with technological assistance against the Hiigaran aggressors. This serves their nefarious designs, by keeping the Vaygr and Hiigaran?s fighting and weakening each other, while they slowly gain control of the Taiidan space that was overrun by the Vaygr. Their success at this long term plan ? is yet to be determined. Since someone was kind enough to start a thread on my story I would certainly appreciate comments. Good or bad, plot holes or things you would like to see more depth on. I know that it is in need of a very good grammar scrub, but at this point I am looking for critical errors in the plot and such, while trying to keep the proper motivation to finish the work. With RL I get maybe a page or two done a week. The latest version is up to 150 pages and Talbock has begun the march home, while the 15th Fleet has become locked in a major battle with the Armada around one of the occupied Hiigaran core sectors. |

OPS - reference LiirHra 16-18 evolution thread in the post v7 refit board. Basic background for the Laxamana class light command cruiser is enclosed there, along with Hiigaran fast attack squadron doctrine based on combat evaluation of the LiirHra prototype hulls (ie, your fiction). Several small scenarios will be built to showcase aforementioned doctrines. |
