Ive tried installing with the .big, with the other file (the folder) but none seems to work... when i extract it to my main HW2 folder, aparently it goes into the wrong folder.. but no matter what i do it wont work :S.... ive reinstalled like 5 times, each time updating to 1.11..... Ive tried reading on the help threads, but nothing seems to work...... aparently it hates my guts, so it'll only let me play standard HW2... Had a mod on once, but i deleted HW2 for space... and now it just wont get the mod working...... Some 1 help :S |

Going to point you to this thread which should cover all scenarios: http://www.pds.homeworldaccess.net/forum/viewthread.php?forum_id=27&thread_id=162 If not, I want you to open your HW2 folder and see if the files are actually positioned correctly. Installing Beta 8 ZIP should give you a fully populated HW2/Data folder with ships, weapons, custom AI and the like. Big file should be placed in HW2/Data/ and run with a -mod "PDS.big" desktop shortcut target, wheras the unpacked version will run with a generic -overridebigfile Asking the game to override the Homeworld2.big data file archive will make it use files that exist in the same location once decompiled; and if you put a mod big file in data and point the game there, it will use as first priority files in the custom .big to similar result (working PDS mod install), got it? |

for christs sake if it lands in the wrong folder just move it from the bin folder to the data folder its hardly rocket science i've sent you 2 PM's offering to walk you through the installation, but apparently you would rather continue posts instead of getting real time help.posting messages in this forum is inefficient when you are looking for help Edited by HisDivineShadow on 20-09-2007 16:28 |
