So I was playing a simple 1v1 and had deployed a Marjiirian, PoH, and LH-X Scharnhorst with various heavy fighter and corvette support. I was keeping a fairly tight leash on the fighters, to keep them from flying right into the enemy shipyard's defense systems, when I noticed that my LH-X had gone and begun orbiting said shipyard. I had deployed my three capitals in a "Capital Phalanx" (F5), and had expected them to stay and bombard at long range. Instead, my Marjiirian and PoH stayed at long range while everything else went right into range of everything the enemy had. Is this typical behavior? Why are my LH-X so suicidal? http://www.nationstates.net/feazanthia

It has to do with the attack AI of the ship. Its speed is relative too. I haven't looked at the LH-30X ship file, but I presume its attack AI is 'fastcruiser', like the Taiidani Rogue Fencer and Lone Ranger. If you want the LiirHra to be a stand-off attacker, or something else, I'd advise something more like fthcirclestrafe. Edited by Tristan on 14-09-2007 05:05 |
