TASK GROUP STATUS: Damaged ships under repair, Ready to advance to Vaygr shipyard position

When we exited hyperspace at 20:01 local time to precisely calibrate the Hyperspace drive to the last known Vaygr shipyard positions, Our sensors picked up a strange gravitational anomaly, Under the suspicion of Vaygr Gravity Well generators, I ordered the Mana, a Marquess class CVL carrying 2 Avenger scouts, to hyperspace closer to the anomaly. The scouts reported that there where no Hyperspace inhibitors present, and that this in probably natural, a created using advanced quantum waveform weapons, which Vaygr do not poses according to the Hiigaran Naval Intelligence. Further recon, however, revealed a Vaygr presence on the outskirt of the said anomaly. We processed the silhouettes, thus gaining data on the Vaygr presence there. From the Capital ship composition (heavy on bombardment ships and with only one assault cruiser) and the position within the anomaly (the gravitational intensity border in which the gravitational force is strong enough to pull ships out of hyperspace was within missile and strategic level particle cannons) we assumed it's goal was to ambush any attempt to cross trough the anomaly and attacking the shipyard from that route. That seemed the shortest way trough the anomaly.

Since I didn't have time nor wanted to be ambushed from the back if I crossed the anomaly trough the denser portion, I ordered the attack. The Mana was to close in on the Vaygr position and launch Communication jamming probes in sync with our exit from hyperspace. We launched hyperspace capable diversionary probes before our jump to divert at least some of the weapon power away from my ships.

The plan worked beautifully. We exited hyperspace and close in fast thus negating the Vaygr use of their bombardment capabilities. The decoys absorbed more damage then we hoped. The arrival of the communication jamming probes was covered by the weapon fire. The Vaygr never detected them. Outnumbered and outguned the Vaygr where destroyed quickly in a bloody point-blank engagemnet.

Although just few fighters and two frigates where lost, many ships where damaged, especially the Vode an which survived a salvo of anti-matter torpedoes, however it was badly damaged. We also recovered a IVF spy who revealed that the gravitational anomaly was interfering with their comm anyway so the shipyard doesn't expect a situation report any time soon. She also revealed that there is a Vaygr research ship studying Progenitor derelicts within the anomaly. This indicates that the anomaly was created during the Progenitor civil war. It's strange how nobody spotted this anomaly before though.

Anyways I'm resuming course for the the shipyard, since it is the priority and between you and me I don't trust the Vaygr even if they are beautiful as this one and work for the rebellion. You will be getting this message from a com. probe I dispatched when we regrouped and repared on the 20/3/9620 0500 hours. I don't know when you will be getting this message hopefully soon.

May Koshir'ra watch over you and good luck. Nabaal out.

Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, hot pursuit of enemy forces

Priority alert. We have detected a high temprature plasma discharge consstant with a Xerxes class cityship. The shipyard's trying to run for it. Smaller drive flares indicate that the shipyard's escorts and few surviving frigates are trying to rejoin formation. They seem to be heading toward the centre of the Hyperspace anomaly we detected nearby. Gravitational patterend and quantum waveforms are consistant with a class-3 Slipgate.

Our Gravwells will have no effect on a Slipgate that big, so we must attack now. If the shipyard escapes, our mission will be in jepoardy. They know our strategic positions, foece compisition, and planetary defences. They can't transmit to their port as their comm arrays aren't capable of interstellar transmission. If they escape, they'll know exactly how and where to hit us.

We can't wait any longer, attack the Shipyard NOW! Send some fast attack craft to blocade the slipgate, but throw everything else at the SY. I'm trailing as fast as I can but the captured Vaygr CV is holding me up. Forward units of my fleet will get there before the Willamatte can arrive, but we can't affoard to wait. All their heavy captials should be dead by this point and we cannot affoard to wait.

Whoever kills or captures the shipyard get's the keg of Whiskey.

Just kill the Qwaardamn shipyard. Watsas out.

Mission: Destroy enemy shipyard.

I will forbore the suspense; the Vaygr shipyard has been destroyed. I say this with a heavy heart, as the cost of victory was high.

The Vaygr shipyard began withdrawing at 0530 on 21/3/9620-GSY. My scouts informed me immediately, and your message, Admiral, arrived a few minutes later. TF 15.2 was in the process of preparing for hyperspace and, I was informed, would be ready within the hour. 15.1 was in defensive positions around the shipyard, standing by for the planned assault.

Knowing the urgency of the situation and just how much was at risk, I sent tactical schematics and other essential information to Admiral Nabaal whom I knew would be joining me soon. I then scrambled the fighters of 15.1 and began my assault. Questions kept repeating themselves in my mind. Why would the Vaygr be moving for the Slipgate NOW? Why not retreat into the cloud to begin with? Their behavior so far screamed of a stalling action. I had nothing concrete to back this up and, feeling I had no other choice, I moved forward with the plan that cost so many of my boys their lives.

The shipyard's escorts soon turned around to face the threat of my strikecraft closing in on them. A skirmish began on the left of my advancing line, and soon spread. I launched my reserve fighters as the speedy defeat of the escorts was essential. Meanwhile, I was informed by my comm officer that 15.2 was ready to jump on my mark. The coordinates 15.2 was jumping to was updated to take into account the direction the shipyard was moving. They jumped. Their reversion would put them in the path of the retreating shipyard.

The strikecraft of 15.1 were beginning to overcome their opponents, but the going was tough. The decisive defeat I was hoping for was evading me.

The time was 0618 when 15.2 reverted to realspace. I was near the comm officer's station aboard my flagship, the 'Valorous,' when the first contact reports came in: 15.2 had jumped into the midst of a Vaygr fleet.

For the first few seconds of reversion nothing had happened. The Vaygr were as surprised as my captains were. But the surprise wore off and, for agonizing seconds while the ships of 15.2 powered up, the Vaygr were able to hammer at them without worrying about retaliation. By the time 15.2 had recovered fully from hyperspace, 2x Hydras and 1x Bloodhound disappeared under intense enemy missile and beam fire. The ensuing battle was absolute chaos. No tactics, simply wanton destruction. Most escape pods were destroyed in the melee and crew recovery after the battle was sparse.

There is a video clip of the battle attached to this report. Not only does it demonstrate what occurred better than my words, but it shows an interesting detail. A quick look at the Vaygr fleet shows the black matte base and pink striping of the ships. This fleet belonged to the unknown clan there have been sighting of. While details remain unclear, we certainly know they are hostile.

In any case, 15.2 was doomed, and would have been completely destroyed had it not been for Admiral Nabaal. Nabaal was en route to the shipyard's location, but once word was sent to him of the 15.2 predicament, he immediately sent elements to aid my boys. Thanks to the accuracy of his gunners, Nabaal's TF began hammering at the Vaygr ships, while not hitting one of mine in the process, a nearly impossible feat given the proximity of my ships to the Vaygr's.

Meanwhile, 15.1, with the help of the rest of Nabaal's fleet, was able to defeat the shipyard escorts. I then sent 4x squadrons of assault bombers to engage the shipyard. It must not have been in good shape, because it took no time for my bombers to disable the engines and, shortly afterwards, destroy the shipyard.

The battle was finally over, nearly 2 and a half standard hours after it began. Our objectives have been completed, the shipyard and all other known Vaygr elements, as well as some unknown ones, have been destroyed. It seems very likely that the Slipgate was not being used to evacuate the Vaygr from this location, but to reinforce them. We have not had the chance to advance to the Slipgate itself, but defensive positions have been established.

Now, the part of this report I have been dreading, saving for last in hopes of delaying its truth.

My forces have engaged a number of stragglers and are within the area. I have recived a transmission from STRATCOM, and they have ordered that we withdrawl to Xirsano as soon as additional forces arrive to hold the area (ETA: 45 minuites). Admarals Watsas, Donitere, Nabaal, S'jet, and Ko'malak, plus all IVF, Nalthoran, and HN rearguard forces that have recived this message are to rendezvous with SY-30 Manaan and SY-15 Nomad in orbit of Xirsano. Then we are to move out to proceede with the advance.

I'll assume you are farmiliar with our area of advance. I will brief you later after we arrive at Xirsano. We will undergo repairs, refit our damaged fleet ships, and study the captured Vaygr carrier.

I cannot accurately stress my regret for our lost brothers and sisters, but we must press on. We're behind scedule and have several star systems to capture. Additional forces will be attached to our forces to bulk up our numbers.

I would also like to announce that a Jefet'Ne Jetsam. He is to be transferred to an Arbiter V taskgroup due to a lack of staffing (the CF's former commander of that vessel has been indefinately sidelined due to sonic dissentary as a result of food poisioning). Ko'malak has confirmed that the agressor force that was assaulting our rear lines has been dealt with. Confirmation of this is requested.

Greetings fellow admirals, My name is Admiral F. Seraphim, I've been monitoring the comms traffic enroute to the rally point... seems you've had an interesting but glorious adventure through bastonograd. I wish to express my sincere appologies for the late arrival and my regret of any losses our brothers and sisters have taken, they will be remembered.

My Mission here, is ofcourse to assist in the operation and my tardiness has been caused by a rather large Incursion further south of this area of operations. It wasn't a terribly big event but it did cause enough damage to have command issue the search and destroy order to me. I did send one of my subordinates, Captain fuller, with my only operational carrier... My other two Imperator carriers had to remain south of these areas for support and clean up purposes. Hopefully my compliment of frontline ships will still be of some use! especially after seeing these battle reports from you all.

My ship compliment is as follows,

HGN Luy'rah, Mahjiiran Battleship.
x4 LSF Strikegroups

HGN Kimov, POH Escourt Battlecruiser.
HGN Ove'Lur, POH Escourt Battlecruiser.
HGN P'vuller, Aggressor Destroyer.
HGN Jillar, Aggressor Destroyer.
HGN Desrot, Aggressor Destroyer.
HGN U'varan, Liihira Cruiser.
HGN Avair, Liihira Cruiser.

x10 Missile Frigate
x20 Assault Frigate
x10 DEW Heavy Frigate
x8 Support frigate

Some would call it a rather large side fleet but I suppose it's rather small for me, I was at one point in charge of operation steel-wind at the beginning of our entire mission to retake our previous lands from our common vaygr foes. I am very much so looking forward to working with you gentlemen and am looking forward to hearing your replies. Hiigara be praised, mother to us all.. the pride of our nation seems to be in our hands this day.

Well, first I must congratulate Admiral Donitere on the wonderful job of taking out the Shipyard. We showed those Vaygr barbarians how the big boys do battle. Alas victory came at a grate price, but I asure you all those deaths will not be in vain.

My ships are presently en route to the rendezvous point in Xirano orbit. They have suffered only minor hull damage, and the sickbays report all wounded are in no danger of dieing.

I left the HN Kiith'sa, HN Raachok, HN Kerubin and HN Iot to search for any remaining Vaygr presence near the slipgate and to investigate the alleged Reseach Ship position. The High Command also informs me that a Sobani task group is to escort the Kiith'sa, along with an archeology team. I know the high command is eager to get their hands on Progenitor technology and not let the Vaygr do the same, but it's just a research ship, my team can handle that. Maybe they suspect there is something more dangerous inside.

My fleet and I are ready to liberate the oppressed people of the neighboring systems from the Vaygr Tyrants.

The wrath of Sajuuk will strike the enemies of Hiigara.

Subject: STRATPLAN Briefing

Location: SY-30 Manaan, Xirsano Lagrange Point 04

Relayed From HN STRATCOM: With the desrtuction of the enemy forward shipyard, their surviving forces are ravetting. They can no longer affoard to mount rear lines attack and strategic recon supports this. However, a few of their ships have launched Suicidal atttacks on key installations, which have been repelled.

At this point, we belive the Bastonagrad system is secure and that we can now move forward to the surrounding systems. Loyalist Vaygr forces may be regrouping and are surely going to try and attack Bastonagrad again. If we wait, we will grant precious time to the enemy.

The information provided by the Carrier admaral Watsas captured indicates that the Vaygr are moving through the New Colorado system and looting supplies from the Turanic Raiders in that region. Given that system's nature, it is difficult for Strategic Recon ships to detect anything smaller then a shipyard. Therefore, Arm Center will move through that system and evict the Vaygr from there.

Admaral Watsas will provide more indepth info. -HN STRATCOM

***

As the inquisition has so bluntly stated, there is a significant Vaygr presance in the New Colorado system, consisting of as best as we can tell, atleast 3 Kaghan class carriers, several additional capital class vessels, and another full DESRON. To further complicate things, that system is chock full of Turanic Raiders and Indapendant Miners. Neither of the Latter two have any military force capable of challenging our fleet, but mine attacks and booby traps on asteroids could prove problematic.

For refrance, New Colorado has a single young star with a system wide dust/asteroid sphere, a number of slipgates, and at leats two raider bases. The Vaygr could be hiding deeper in the belt, as some parts are denser then others. This 'terrain' will restrict our deployment of larger ships in denser areas of the belt. There is one subplanetary body, Cheyanne, that has low gravity and no atmosphere. This world has several old mining facilities that may harbor Raiders, IMG, or Vaygr.

Any Turanics or Indapendant Miners should be considered criminals, as they are violating Nalthoran territorial Space and a designated off limits zone. Any IMG or Raiders are to be arrested and charged by a Federal Nalthoran court under Nalthoran Constitutional amandment #546. Under said act, foriegn military forces are granted power of arrest provided Nalthoran Military overseers are presant. As such, several overseers with said authority are being transferred to our fleets.

Arm North and my fleet will transit through the system en-route to Kechlyr. Arm center will loiter in the system a bit longer and clear out the Vaygr, but will not go out of the way to hunt down every last Raider. We just don't have the time for that. Arm south will go directly into Nord Kavagrad and engage the Vaygr in that area.

Nord Kavagrad is mostly empty with two uninhabited planets, one of which has a large ring system which the Vaygr may be hiding in. The system also has numerous Nebulae and Gas clouds. However, the majority of the system is empty space that provides significant breathing room for long range capital ship brawls.

It should also be noted that an old Exparamental Hiigaran battleship, the HGN Archangel BBHX-12 went missing in that sector, and should be recovered if at all possible. It was last seen in orbit of Nord Kavagrad's largest planet.

You have your orders. All Hiigaran, Nalthoran, and IVF fleets are now ordered to move out as soon as you can resupply and re-crew. Communication can be maintained via Phased Quantum Array Transmission.

Well, I've reviewed the current orders and are pleased with the execution of orders through our ranks. I am exceptionally excited about the whole treasure hunt for a ship that most upper level admiralty says could defeat my ship! ha, I laugh at them.. so what, the HGN Hope destroyed what was supposedly Three "Kassi" Super battleships.. I beg to differ, It was probobly a few Taiidan old-era destroyers.. but who am I to argue?

My appologies for my rant.. I do see many benefits to our invasion of this region but I do have one concern, Wasn't it north of Nord Kavagrad where that massive beast armada was last seen roughly two years ago? I mean, somewhat modern HGN warships were sent to engage it and were completely annihilated by that fleet. I am just a bit concerned for that one.

Onto a different note. My battlegroup is completely ready for action but seeing as most of my group is heavy capital ships I am suggesting that maybe an admiral with a more mobile force enters the region and if say, they engage a force that's rather large.. I can hyperspace in and jump from hotspot to hotspot when needed. I do understand the final decision is yours and yours alone but we need all the help we can get, especially in these troubled times..

Hiigara.. my friends, hiigara.. it calls to us all for action, be ready my brothers and sisters.. I hope these vaygr bastards realize what is about to happen to them..

The Archangel,eh. Now that's a name I haven't heard in a long time. Hope the Vaygr didn't find it find it yet. And the only thing massive about that Beast fleet where the lies about it. It consisted of a single carrier that wasn't even equipped with an infec. beam. Someone thought that the Vaygr could pick up that transmission and we could possibly scare them out of the system. It didn't work.

Admiral Seraphim. My forces are heavy also going the south route and will provide close in support. I bet a bottle of the best Hiigaran Whiskey that we will clear our system first.

Actually before I bet, may I inquire what's the intel on Vaygr force composition in Nord Kavagrad ?

Sir, I am currently on my way to my assigned AO in the New Colorado system. The 15th Fleet is still understrength, but ready. In fact, my boys are eager for another chance at the Vaygr. They have revenge on the brain.

Currently, the 15th is short 2x Hydras, 1x Bloodhound and 1x Wolf, losses that are not desirable, but not disabling. The worst loss of material was dealt to my capital ships, as my last report indicated. The Ferrum, PoH BCE-45 was destroyed and has yet to be replaced. Her sistership, the Pendragon, was severely damaged, but we have managed to repair her to operational standards. She is in no way full strength, but she will hold together. Lastly, the LiiHra CL-23 Ah'nhara Drift remains severely damaged. She will require major repairs to her hull and skeletal frame.

These ships, while vital, are not enough to cause the 15th pause. It is the loss of life that has the 15th so understrength. I have decided to take a percent of the crew from each section of the fleet and use them as replacements where needed. This puts all of my ships short of crewmembers, but allows me to keep a larger force afloat.

STRATCOM has informed me that crew replacements as well as ship replacements are being accrued, but it will be awhile before the 15th is back to 100%

Despite this setback, my boys look forward to hunting down some Vigger scum. They would also like to express their gratitude for the whiskey you sent them. My officers seem to be concerned, though, that there are thieves aboard their ships. One night they had plenty to spare, and the next morning it was all gone. They all awoke with headaches and no memory of what happened the night before. Deductive reasoning tells me that they must have all been knocked unconscious and then robbed by their assailants. I have sent a portion of the barrel to Admiral Nabaal as a token of mine, and the 15th's, gratitude. Hopefully those 'whiskey thieves' won't rob his officers as well, but I fear they will also fall victim. Those thieves are pretty tricky; about 180 proof 'tricky.'

I will send word when I have reached my assigned location and scouted the surrounding area.

Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Outer dust bands, New Colorado system

Regarding the Vaygr force compisition in Nord Kavagrad; It is likely that the Vaygr have kept many of their heavy combatants in that system, due to the fact that 1: They know that they can't manuver properly due to the constrained battlespace in New Colorado, and 2: They know the same rules apply to us.

I cannot give specifics, but they have at least two Kaghan class carriers and two Al'mou'kir class battle carriers. Presumably, these have a sizable force of escort fighters, frigates, and probably a fast responce DESRON. I would guess that there are several more carriers and combat logistics craft hiding in the planetary asteroid rings of Nord Kavagrad, though Strategic recon is suggested before proceedeing with an major attacks.

Given the fact that we're going to be seperated by a sizable distance and the presance of enemy units, secure commnications will be difficult. That, plus the lack of re-inforcements, means that commanders must act with a highter degree of autonomy then in Bastonagrad sector.

On the note of possible Beast infection; While neither Strat-Recon or information downloaded from the Captured Vaygr CV indicate any Beast presance is or ever was in the region, the concentration of indavidually unreliable sightings in the region warrent our highest dilligence.

Should any Hiigaran, Nalthoran, or IVF fleet encounter a Beast infection, they must undertake protocol Charlie-11-312. All capital ships should maintain a large distance from one another to reduce the spread of Infection, fighters and corvettes should maintain a defence sphere around the capitals to take out cruise missiles, and ANY unconfirmed ship that does not authenticicate it's ID codes or heed warnings to withdrawl should be destroyed at maximum possible range. Fleet should maintain a defence cordon of the most viably defencible position until further orders are recived, and ships confirmed to be infected are to be avoided at all costs unless otherwise stated.

I belive the consiquences of any crew failing to undertake appropriate protocol under the above circumstances are already clear, and that should be enough to convince any gung-ho commanders to think twice before taking on a Beast fleet.

This is the remaining information on the banks. A horrible mixture of malfunction and bulkhead-blows have rendered most of the information near-useless. We do know, though, that several frigates and wings of fighters were employed, though the class have been above us, since all the crew aboard are fresh, and high-command copy-paste pictures have been unkind in helping us so far.

We shall continue salvage efforts, and limp back to Bastiongrad.

My appologies for a response a day late... It's even worse that My fleet partner that's even within visual range of The Great Fleet Admiral V. B. Nabaal, my rival by nature.. (Not ofcourse in a hateful or disrespectful way.) But I've been rather engulfed in this whole beast ordeal.. I was reading up on the battle of Nak'Korval, That giant ring object that is about two lightyears north of nord Kavagrad.. Some of these texts say that no one survived, and yet they know that ships passed through that gate so I'm rather confused on where they get the fact it is a gate.. there is no mechanism or any technology in that ring, it's just a giant metallic ring. It was believed that before the Battle of Nak'Korval, that it was a large gasket or some type of part to a Progenitor Super-Ship.. So how do they know?

Another thing that gets me is the 48 part transistor that is used to counter beast infections.. Everyone knows and read that the beast infection requires open circuits to spread and EVENTUALLY take over living hosts to create further expansions and obtain complete control. With the 48 part transistor, it takes almost two minutes to overcome the first coil-block, thus allowing the 48 parts to seperate, stopping the flow of current, this stopping the beast in a section and it dies from lack of energy... How did this beast overcome the hundreds of Hiigaran cruisers, destroyers, frigates and so fourth that were lost during the whole search for their main fleet..

I'm reading here that on 11/7/9618-GSY A taiidan naval officer survived an attack on a refueling station for commerce ships and witnessed an immense craft leading the group of beast vessels that consisted of numerous unknown craft, his account reads as follows,

"It was so bright, all the lights from engines, but that ship that led the assault.. it took three of our Heavy cruisers head on and ripped them apart.. the destroyers that were behind immediatly turned away but the hyperspace gates opened and I swear it was a bentusi tradeship!.. no one believes me.. everyone says they left eons ago.. but it was, without the gold though, it shimmered crimson red like the two suns of our homeworld.."

He described later, in a crude picture he drew, what looked like an old era POH cruiser... but the dimensions he wrote of was huge! I don't know.. probobly me just delving into things I don't need to.

Anyway, I am looking forward to working with you admiral nabaal, I am going to grant you my Liihira Cruisers. I think together we can really hit these bastards at Nord Kavagrad by suprise.. I propose a plan, if we stay hidden long enough ofcourse. I'll take my Cruisers and destroyers and my one single carrier strieght into the system, hopefully drawing out their lineships.. It'd give you the perfect flanking chance. Seeing as all of our attacks have been blunt hits for the most part, they probobly wont expect a large fleet of highly mobile ships hitting their reserves and soft spots. and ofcourse the whole hitting their fleet to kill it off once and for all.

I'll send a copy of this to admiral watsas for finality and i'm sure he'll approve. So I'll go ahead and give my fighter-cruisers orders to lock in with your Tac-net and so fourth. As I've said before, I look forward to our future fun annihilating "veggers" as you call them? amusing!

for pride, for war! for hiigara! lets show them how ferocious we can be.

Attention HN admaralty, I have arrived in the New Colorado system and my fleet is in position to begin extended operations. Attached are elements of the Nalthoran 34th 'Silber Ja'ska' (Trans: Silver Hornets) Calvalry, who are highly experianced in Nebula/Dustcloud fighting. However, we have had several moderate setbacks in our efforts includng one that forced me to change to a diffrent flagship.

There was a shipwide biohazard alarm after the ship hit what appeared to be a quantum ripple in hyperspace which caused some hazardous substances, I'll not say which, to spill. This had no confirmed direct effect on the ship aside from the evacuation and detox. The Willamatte is unharmed, but the Detox procedure continues, the Wilamatte, HN Depoe Bay, and HN Eaglin are tied up at our staging area undergoing procedure. I've temporarily transferred to the Imperitor class carrier HN Ross Island where I will temporarily remain.

Another setback is that one of our forward units encountered a Puran Kaur class carrier configured into a recon picket. This ship was equipped with a Quantum sensor array (who's presance only raises further questions, as the Vaygr cannot indegeniously develop these) and a GravWell generator, this detected our forward taskgroup and launched an attack. This attack was made up of a group of Frigates and Shamshir class corvettes. This attack was repelled with no losses, and the Carrier was destroyed by torpedoes from the HMNS Keldabe BB-56. gnHowever, the Vaygr did not detect our main force (which was held up slightly by that damn Quantum wave).

The Vaygr appear to be taking up defencive positions in the system which indicates they expect our attack. However, they expect an attack from the Southeast of the system, wheras the main force is coming from the northeast. However, if we are to take the system, we must use the dust nebula to our advantage. Also, anyone encountering Vaygr ships using advanced technology should be reported and investigated. It is unlikely that we can ID the Hyperspace genorator on the Destroyed carrier, given the thorugh devistation.

PS: Admaral Seraphim, one quick suggestion, STOP BEING PATRIOTIC! You'll Jinx the operation. It happened before, which is part of why I'm an admaral now.

Sir we've taken up position in the biggest planetary ring in the Nord Kavagrad system. The ring is rich in resources so we've begun resource operation while we locate Vaygr forces. The molecular foundries are working non-stop and we have already produced over 120 combat drones. Our system entry seems to have been unnoticed, but given the heavy Vaygr presence in system we can not be 100% sure. We are conducting Long range patrols and recon operations.

Mission: Clear Vaygr from AO

The 15th, or arm 'Center,' has arrived in-system and staged sweeps of the immediate area. Upon entering the system, a Vaygr frigate was detected. It initiated a scan of my vanguard force and retreated into hyperspace before any attack could be made against it. This was, no doubt, a forward picket ship.

The Vaygr now know where my fleet is, and they know where your fleet is, Admiral. According to Admiral Nabaal's report, and the latest intelligence, it seems likely that the Vaygr are not yet aware of his location. It is very likely that they are prepared nonetheless for an attack from that direction, but there is no way they can be sure that one from there is imminent. They are, however, certain of our positions and will, if the Vaygr have any sense, reposition at least some of their forces to deal with the double threat of our two fleets. It is either that or they will have guessed that this is a three pronged operation and, again if they have any sense (which is debatable in my opinion), they will be forced to withdraw as their current position, while well hidden and fortified, is simply untenable.

It is more than just confidence in our forces that prompts me to say this, it is simple strategic reasoning. The Vaygr cannot fend off attacks from three directions and maintain their supply lines. They will put up a fight, but we have already won this leg, through successful maneuvering. Now, the game is about casualty control.

Other that adding my two ch'ets about the current strategic situation, there is a purpose to this report. I almost did not include this incident as it seems insignificant, but it could turn out that this is not the case, as insignificant events have a way of doing.

Yesterday, 24/3 by the Galactic Standard, the 15th Fleet and the elements of the 8th Fleet attached to arm Center, arrived in-system and began our recon sweeps. At about 1340 GST a patrol reported the sighting of a single frigate class ship consisting of the scavenged parts of other ships, a ?Vomiting Valorie? as the men call it (Vomiting because of its tendency to expel atmosphere and, on occasion, crew members, due to frequent and random hull-breaches caused by structural instability. Valorie because of Valorie Turchuck, the famous opera singer known for her astounding voice and, how shall I put this, ?not-so-astounding? looks. VV's tend to be very ugly).

The ?VV? was hailed, but did not respond. An assault ship containing space marines from the 109th Extravehicular Regiment conducted boarding operations and explored every inch of the ship. The marines determined that the ship did not carry the ?Beast virus?, (or the Bogeyman, or the tooth fairy*, or any other made up character used to scare small children). The ship also did not carry any passengers or crew. It was completely devoid of life. There were no signs of struggle, no logs, no indication as to what happened to the crew. There were personal possessions still on board and, the strangest part: all bolt-pods were still in their tubes. The crew had not abandoned ship, they had simply disappeared.

Intelligence is currently running back-checks on the ship and using personal items, such as photos and names lifted from a few letters found aboard, to find out more about the crew. So far these back-checks have not come to fruition, but I will report any new findings as they become available to me, should they be of any actual importance.

Meanwhile, I plan on moving further into the system and establishing a forward base-of-operations. From here I will set up a defensive position and conduct probes into the surrounding dustclouds.

Good hunting, Admiral.

I'm happy to report the first victory outside Bastonagrad in our offensive. One of my auxiuilry Carriers and it's escorts were dispatched to investigate a Quantum waveform that appeared about 420,000km to our 'south'. I dispatched a number of ships to investigate, and they were attacked by a Vaygr carrier group.

After our Recon ship detected a Hypertransit within our AO, an aux carrier group was dispatched to investigate. This group was backed up by a pair of Arbiter cruisers and a group of strikecraft. When they arrived, they hurried to set up a forward resource operation and deploy probe recon. The forward probes picked up a convoy of resource collectors and a group of bombers was dispatched from the Marquam.

Continous bomber raids maintained area denial until a group of Shamshirs arrived, and evicted our CAP from the area. An attempt to clear the area with Interceptor raids failed to dislodge the enemy corvettes, but did draw the attention of the enemy air group long enough for us to dispatch a bomber raid backed up by the group's cruisers. The skirmish became spread out over a sizable area, with superiority fighters and frigates maintaining a buffer between the Shamshirs and attack group, while the Bombers lured the Carrier into the Cruiser's gun range.

The Carrier and it's escorting Missile frigates were hastily flanked and destroyed, despite the efforts from it's fighter/corvette wing to try and break through our fighter screen. This only forced the enemy fighters into a killbox where they were torn apart by concentrated massdriver fire and Tactical nuclear detonations.

By that point, one of our probes detected a small group of Vaygr frigates and resourcers behind our position. The Marquam dispatched it's corvettes and several LSFs to engage, and additional fighters that had resupplied aboard the Eskand flanked. This two pronged assault broke up the frigate line, isolated, and destroyed the frigates. After mopping up the area, we confirmed that this carrier too was equipped with advanced weapons and sensors (which they never got the chance to use).

I'd suggest that anyone encountering any of this advanced equipment, anthing out of the ordinary, should report it to myself and STRATCOM immedietly.

Subject: Perhaps a ferocious foe..

Location: HGN Luy'rah BBH-21.

About two hours ago.. My POH Kimov BCE-78, Picked up on lidar what was registered as a negative light object.. It and my other POH, BCE-415, "Ove'Lur" were sent to investigate the strange object, It was a old era keeper drone ship.. Sure, that may sound idiotic but when it opened fire, it got real serious, real fast.. My ship was quick to respond and when we all exited hyperspace, the Kimov had lost its primary Ion array and suffered considerable hull damage on the port side... The keeper ship quickly fled, strangely enough right after it entered hyperspace, a comparable sized Vaygr fleet exited hyperspace.

Two escourt carriers followed by seven spahi like frigates emerged and launched wave upon wave of fighters, overwhelming the already damaged Kimov.. If the Ove'Lur weren't right on top of them to soak up fire it could have been even worse. My ship as well as my three destroyers arrived quickly to hit them hard head on and that we did, killing off three of the seven frigates with our initial missile barrage. Their fighters and bombers however were still swarming the area and started making runs on my ship, using the large blindspots not covered by AA fire to hit my large turrets.. My younge protige' Cpt .Fuller arrived at that time and launched their LSF groups which completely outclassed their fighters and bombers.

If he hadn't arrived at that point it could have been quite bad... here's a list of the loss/kills

Our forces,
HGN Kimov, BCE-78, Severely damaged.. operating at 30% efficiency... It's on its way to my rear staging area for repairs and it wont take long, luckily the modular design the repairs wont take long and thanks to Admiral Nabaals early mining efforts we have an abundance of material.

Enemy forces,
x2 Escourt carrier.
x7 Heavy frigate.
xunknown fighter squadrons, We didn't have enough time and with the kimovs damage most the attention was on quickly hitting anything possible, we assume there was 10+ fighter and possibly half that in bomber squadrons..

So, not only do they know of us in New colorado, but now they know we have operations in Nord kavagrad, I'm sure that has them in disarray.. I don't believe they know of Admiral Nabaals forces yet but they sure as hell know of mine.

My only other concern is that damned keeper ship.. It wasn't as ferocious as the ones told of in the mothership exodus years back, how they took on the entire fleet and did as much damage as they did, plus taking an entire Super-Hyperdrive critical mass explosions to kill one. This fired wildly but barely moved, took massive amounts of damage before leaving and never launched any drones at all. Part of me wants to say that these vaygr are expiramenting with Progenitor technology and aren't quite getting a hold of it, it'd explain the whole, it leaves.. vaygr arrives thing. Input please?

We are continuing resource operations are are shipping supplies to admiral Seraphim. We have engaged and destroyed 2 Vaygr Chevalier recon frigates. No transmission was detected from the Vaygr frigates, they didn't have time. However the most important thing found on board was a undamaged Vaygr Quantum Comm System(from now on QCS) and a prisoner.

The Vaygr seem to want to establish a mining operation in this sector and sent this two frigates to investigate. We used the QCS to transmit an 'All OK' message. We have 2 Kaghans with minimal escort on a oproach vector. They will be taken care of.

As for the prisoner. We preformed surgery and, when he was out of any life danger, interrogated him using the newest tools supplied. The subject did not survive interrogation, however we know know several important things:
1) The Vaygr had two shipyards in this system, however they moved one to an unknown location (which is backed up by our readings at 0401 hours on 24/3)
2) The remaining shipyard seems to be near the largest planet, we have the coordinates, but those are yet to be confirmed. I sent a DRT (Deep Recon Team) to confirm.
3) The said coordinates indicate that they are far enough from the planet so that it's gravity well doesn't interfere with Hyperspace drives. It also seems that they don't have a GWG (gravity-well generator). This is yet to be confirmed
4)They seem to be reconstructing an unknown vessel that they found 'near-by', possibly the Archangel. This is also yet to be confirmed, however this would also mean that no Capital ship can be produced or serviced, and that it's production facilities are busy with rebuilding the ship.

I have sent my plan to High command and i got approval. The plan is as following: Our DRT will confirm the prisoners claims. In the mean while a big convoy of escorted marine frigates and additional warships will reach our position. They will later initiate boarding action. The primary objectives of the marines are: 1)Disable all comm except the semi-automated distress beacon. 2)Secure the Archangel or whatever ship they are rebuilding, be ready to launch 3) protect the beacon and the Unknown ship at all cost.
Secondary objective is to take total control of the shipyard.

When the marines arrive and the DRT confirms objectives the two Carriers will be within range. We destroy the carriers and execute a hyperspace jump to the Vaygr shipyard position. We destroy it's escorts and external weapons and the marines commence boarding. They execute the primary objectives and recalibrate the beacon to transmit a Critical Attack warning (this warning means that the enemy has a fleet capable of destroying the shipyard and requires all ships to jump to shipyard position if possible). We then proceed to take a perimeter and destroy all ships Hyperspaceing in.

The shipyard probably has heavy escorts since no GWG is present, but we have a massive presence including Heavy Attack Groups of the 15th fleet, IVF and Nalthoran. I hope that the IVF and Naltohrans keep their cool about political matters, but The enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Quick and effective. If everything goes well we should commence the Attack in less than 6 hours, and you will have the report immediately after the battle. If this is successful we could single handedly clear the Kavagrad system of Vaygr presence.

May Sajuuk guide us.
