Thanks to DrthVdr12 tips texturing become a very plesure process, I already textured whole miniguns.

I only need to finish cokpit side sections and some hull deatails (BTW does anyone know some photoshop tricks to make hull(yellow and red part) looks less "cartoony"?

While I was working on rear section of fighter I noticed that separatet section would be perfect for Fighter drone (something between Kites and Hawks and mass deployment).

Anyway I think that tonight or tomorrow Fighter will be ready for hoding.

OK, job done.

1) Question to DrthVdr12:
How to save my model to something useful for Hoding (CFHodTool for example) ??

I tried to export as .asc format, but when I opened it in other modeling program (Truespace) it load up model but not textures.

2) Question to anyone (propably Sun Tzu):
Can I sent texture file (in photoshop format) to someone so it can be modified to HW2 team colours (hull, details and stripes are already on diffrend layers so it would be easy) ??

BTW I found nice place for badge:

i'm still waiting for reply in those 3 matters:
1) What do I need to do to convert milkshape model and texture to something useful to furter hoding?
2) Who will help me with teamcolors texture?
after 1 and 3- who will hod (either Maya or cfHodtool0 it for PDS?

Meanwhile, I'll begun texturing this baby:

1. Export it as an OBJ. Thats the format that CFHOD uses.
2. On the tab next to layers in Photoshop, select alpha channels and disable the all the other channels. Create a new layer and color in black for team color for main color. Do the same for the Tex[2], which will be the strip color.

On another note, I apologize for no pics of the Taiidan BB. Shes still there, but academics are keeping me. Not too much texturing to go, though....

OK, in attachement there should be my fighter package (.OBJ file and texture->without teamcolout setting).

EDIT:
Crap, why I can't attach anything (including .jpg and .rar)?
I'll upload it on filefront.

EDIT2:
OK, here:

I have maya 8 but have no idea how to use it Sad

Whats the best way how to learn all this stuff?

Some ghetto, 10 minute hods I've managed to make in the last 2 months.

For those of you waiting for the Taiidan battleship, there has been absolutely no progress because I just didn't feel like working on it. Pretty much been stagnant in 3d modeling, though I did come up with this in the spur of the moment:

Well, the missile models are awesome, and the ship is fairly good. However, I can't see where it can really go, asthetically wise, into PDS aside from maybe the Federation of Cush Navy. What were you going to do with it?

Advanced Next-Gen Hiigaran Destroyer. I know the Hiigs don't need any more toys, but its actually based off of a concept drawing and I couldn't resist.

That brings a thought to my mind, though. I think what PDS needs is not so much more modelers and texturers as concept artists. Have good enough concepts, and people will make the ships.

TelQuessir
Independence War looking. Definitely nice for a Hiigaran light battlecruiser.

Btw, some folks here have asked about the twin-hull Vaygr destroyer - any news on that fine boat?

Drthvdr12
The destroyer is actually based off of this concept:

You probably know more about that one, man. Unless I'm having one hell of a brain hemorrhage from recently turning 21, I don't think I was in charge of that one. Though Axel sends his regards about the continued development of the Deliverance II and that the team can use any of his turrets.

CannonJack was the guy with the twin-hulled destroyers.

Fish... you taunt me oh famed shipwright. I still pine for the glory that was to be the Deliverance. Why oh Sage of the Electrons have you forsaken us.

Tristan
Can't wait to see Taiidani ships made/reskinned in HW2 format.

Would be a dream-come-true.

I never heard back from Axel about it....Sad
Dunno bout anyone else who can HOD, unwrap and texture it.

'Tis a cursed ship I tell yea, cursed!

yasotay
aye. I am fearin' tis true. A pity that, she was a fine lookin' warboat.

Fair seas to yee then shipmaster. May the currents bring yer to us again.

I think that ship could be a heavy cruiser or something along those lines. The model would work for other roles, too, though.

TelQuessir
It can take the weapons fit of a War Emergency Arbiter-class, with a properly scaled hull!

No problemos as a modern heavy cruiser.
