Hm - 34yr old gamer, sci-fi fan living in CLT, USA. Used to work for an ERP software company travelling 100% but now work out of the house. This means once again I'll have time for games and can maybe find some hobbies outside of fixing corp software packages. Just stumbled across the pds 6 trailer video (loved the music, Tel'Quessir - where'd you find it) and that led me here. Wow - I had no idea there were such incredible extensions of HW2. Warlords is nice & all but you guys are really incredible - the fit & polish is amazing. Can't wait to play v7! |

Hi all, I'm from Croatia, 25 years old probably not many of you heard about it, I've downloaded 6.1 version and am eager for more. Not much to say except that I love space and would like to explore it just to see what's "out there". Also like strategy games, and Homeworld 2 combines best of both universes |

Still looking forward to the official DVD boxset. Oh and btw, I love the new Battlestar Galactica. JamesDax, My wife and I were fans of SAAB...we have the DVD box set (yea, we couldn't wait)! Also, we think BG 2003 rocks...and we have to wait for Jan 06 for new eps! Hello, my name is mason and i'm an ... Oh. Wrong forum. My name is Mason and I live in southern California. I'm only 19, so i haven't had half of the expereinces that a lot of you guys have had. Still working my way through general educational requirements in college, so my knowledge base is pretty limited, add that to the fact that im an English major and im suprised i can understand anything going on here. I'm also a terrible homewolrd player. I have never been able to beat the original homeworld. I always get stuck on the mission that has a million Taiidani frigates. I'm not much better at PDS. That said, i do really enjoy reading and posting on the forums. Lots of interesting and intelligent discussions going on. So thanks everybody. If theres anyway that i can contribute to the project i'd like to help. |

Hi, I'm Jay I'm 18, so I'm on the younger end. I'm a Psychology/Everything Else major (I can't help but take classes in everything...Galactic Astronomy is one of my favorite classes right now, not exactly crucial to my major) and have fallen in love with science fiction all over again. I'm a foreigner, but I live in Roswell (when I'm not at school) and Athens, Georgia Glad to meet all of you! Jay Edited by Jay on 30-09-2005 17:05 |

Very nice mod. i just love it. im sixteen and ive been a gamer all my life but recently ive been geting involved into wut goes in to the game and finding it very intresting and relaxing in a weird sorta way. Enslaving Earth is as easy as 1, 2, 3!!
1. Make a game that will attract hundreds of millions of gamers. 2. Make the game emit ultra high frequency sound waves to control their puny minds. 3. Start a massacar that will plumit the world into chaos. |

'ello My name is Josh i've been watching PDS and playing it sense early 4.x i think. and i have to say its one of the most impressive mods for any game i've played that has been modded! as for me, Im 20, 21 next march. I like to think of my self as a military hobbiest but theres people that know more then me for sure. I enjoy most anything Sci-fi, and then im in a Comunity College for Computer Information Systems, networking and repairing of computers in a business setting. I play alot of games, anything from Civ:CtP, to Starfleet Command III, to Counter Strike: Source. but i usually stay away from most RPG style games, excluding a few though, such as DSII, Diablo II and DII:LoD "No expantion without equilibrium.

Erm... I'm some dude lol... I popped in here about around 6.0... started that discussion about neutron/tachyon weapons and then promptly disappeared. So yeah... erm... I'm back.... not sure what I'm going to think about this time. I'm from the USA.... and.... yeah I like to play computer games and such (I'm currently addicted to Guild Wars) and such. 16 here, junior in HS, and I need a better computer! (You should see how UGLY those textures get when the fighting picks up ) |

I've been floating around keeping an eye on the homeworld 2 mod scene since early 2004 I'm a 23 yr old computer graphics graduate currently doing rather menial boring jobs gearing up to move to the U.S to be with my lovely Fiancee ![]() In my spare time I've enjoyed extracting every iota of fun out of homeworld 2 in particular, but i've also had a bit of an interest in Nexus and the Deus Ex series. Some of you who were familiar with the Freespace2 mod scene may have noticed me around HLP and I had alot to do with the early NodeWars RPG. I also make music (Synthpop, EBM) , used to do 3D stuff ( www.wEvil.net ) and sit around twiddling bits of hardware. Edited by wEvil on 05-10-2005 12:47 |

19, in college pursuing a double major in Marine Biology and Creative Writing. Odd combination, I know, but I love science, the ocean, and writing so why the heck not combine all three? I come from SoCal but go to college in Washington state. I loved Homeworld and Homeworld 2, but absolutely adored the PDS mod which I just got a couple days ago. Now, if my stupid integrated graphics card could run it without slowdown... Anyway, I love sci-fi, learning about military history and weapons so I might be able to volunteer some useful ideas for future incarnations if the administrators are so inclined...

Hi. I have been following the PDS Mods for sometime now. Having seen how it has grown maginificently on every iteration, I can safely say it is L33t ! I'm a guy in his thirties who does security work for DoD contracts. I love almost all forms of gaming: rpg, fps, rts, and so forth. RTS in general is my current obsession. If im not busy with biology, techstuff, quantum physics, military tactics, conspiracies, ghosthunting , philosophy, politics, and all forms of anime, im usually sending wave after wave of my minions in cyberspace to destroy my AI and human victims!:lol:Please continue this wonderful world you all have created. I'll be lurking in it a lot!

Hi Folks, I am Swipper... my first brand new PC was a Gateway 2000 Pentium 90Mhz and it needed the Intel CPU swapped out because it can't add up floating point numbers... so if you remember that event then you can guess how Ancient I am. HW and Cataclysm were my all time Favourite games, so that explains why I signed up here. The Turning point for me becoming impressed with HW was in the Return to Hiigara mission when Baber's Adagio for Strings played with the back drop of Hiigara engulfed in flames. I remember feeling gutted and emotionally sad after the opening sequence ended. It's very rare you can elicit that form of response from a computer game these days. HW2 did not impress Game-Play wise as the original HW, it felt too far removed from the action for me. They should have kept the formations feature. I also didn't bother taking out the individual production modules to complete the game... it should have been harder or more missions objectives based on it. I hope the PDS Mod adds the game elements that were lacking or immature in HW2. My other favourites are HL, HL2, CS, UT, CS:SOURCE, MechCommander, WH20K: Dawn of War ( currently playing Winter Assault ). Amoung other things, I am a Programmer of Web Applications and Databases by trade. I would love to work on some ship modelling and graphical related stuff as that's what kicked started my interest in the IT industry when I first saw Horizon (old BBC TV episode about Computer Graphics), Tron and The Last Star Fighter. I can't guarantee I would be much good at it though. Justin Wick wrote >>Posted: 25-09-2005 00:07 >>As for my AI work, I'm going to work on a generic AI >>to benefit the entire community. If it's practicable...how about having an AI Level setting like you do in Computer Chess games. That way Justin's Wicked learning AI can be realised at Level 10 while us mere mortals can still enjoy a grunt AI vs player match at level 1 or 2. Best Regards, Swipper. |

34, living in Toronto, Canada. Former member of the Lost Souls clan as innerlifeLS. Made the maps 'Bharat Nebula' and 'Hiigarian Resource Op #302' which Tel was kind enough to package with PDS... it's a big honour for me. Currently working on two maps... an adaptation of the classic 'Foggy's Small Room' and a new original map that is all Z-Axis... word. Loving PDS 7.. amazing work! Thank you to all parties involved. 24, living in Dorset, UK. Started playing PDS when strikecraft still had trails, slowed my pc down to a crawl! I loved the concept and kept an eye on this mod for when I next upgraded my system. PDS 7.0 runs like a dream at 512 x 384 with quality whacked up on my Radeon 9600 ![]() Thanks for all the hard work that has been put into this mod, I've even started making my own maps. I like the WWII inspired scenarios! I'm thinking of writing some role playing scenarios based around the concept of an HGN Fighter Weapons School where you have to defend your carrier with wings of interceptors against inbound hostile strikecraft. When I've got something concrete I'll post some material for comment. HS.
