7.3 Campaign
RumpNissen
no, didn't notice that

thx! ^^

Mostly harmless
For the campaign. The main problem is that the lua's don't decompile? Would if be possible to rewrite or at least debug the decompiled campaign? Would it be worth it?

In May i go to sea till, well, march. Time enough, I was thinking.

wait a sec....

no change... same thing happens, after I destroy the hyperspace gates and the remainin fighters nothin is happenin..

seems that bug fix didn't fix that much....

A few questions for you then:

1) during the sequence announcing attack on Chimera, on what Vaygr ships does the camera focus? bombers or frigates?

2) what forces do you concentrate on a single gate?

3) can you post the error log? (you must have -luatrace in your commandline and the log goes into homeworld2/bin/release/hw2.log)

1. the bombers

2. well, I ask the whole fleet to attack all gates

3. well....... don't really know what you mean with -luatrace, but there were no trace of any errors in the log (I posted it)

Ok if you see the bombers, you did not use the files properly.

Do you use the pds .big file or the plain files?

I made a shortcut with the .big filein the command line

Sun Tzu
I see. Download the file that I posted in this thread ("data_for_mission1.rar") and unzip it. Put its contents in your homeworld data file (where you have put the big file). So in there you should have "leveldata" and "ship" folders.

Now change your shortcut to:
"installation path\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -mod pds731.big -overrideBigFile

Note that you must not have any other third party files in the data folder, since -overrideBigFile won't tell if they are PDS or non-PDS.

It should work that way.

I did as you said....... no change...

the camera still focuses on the bombers at the sequence and nothin happens after I destroy the gates and fighters... v.v

Sun Tzu
If you see bombers, that is because the game did not take the added files into account.

Can you post your shortcut exactly as it is?

RumpNissen
it works now... I didn't write the command line completetly in the shortcut ^^;

thank you so much for your help

I also found that M2 was very, very challenging. I had to pretty much sacrifice the compliment provided for the mission to save them all. And, as I'm watching the fight, I'm noticing that fighters, defensive perimeters aside, are far too tough. They fall to missiles easily enough, but I watched an HAC II survive a 335mm direct hit in M3.

M5 frustrates me. It forced me to use combined tactics (I'm usually a capital ship junkie), and I literally had to be the wood chipper for enemy units until he ran out of things to throw at me. Which took a while, as well as one Nalthoran cruiser, an entire flotila of fleet cruisers, a heavy cruiser (the Imperator) and various frigates. And then, when I finally thought I was clear to the next mission, it pops to credits and crashes. It's more the credits and crashing that bothers me, really.
