you could use the existing ion frigate model to put in a rail/ coilgun style weapon... even the ion animation could be used purely because this is still scifi, just give it a ridiculous recharge rate and a massive first strike power |

if i knew how to, id do it but ive still not figured out cfhod or anything beyond editing ship weapon and scripts yet lol |
