They are called SHARGS, and the largest one I've seen so far is 1200. Fusion bombs stuck in a railgun round. Also have SHARG600s I believe. It seems you want something that will destroy lots of ships in a big fiery blast. Not going to happen, as the technology just isn't there. A single wing of Blades from the current time would be able to totally destroy any and all ships from the Homeworld or Cataclysm era. With ease. Armor tech has come a long way, as have weapons. The same siege cannon the Somtaaw salvaged would be nothing more than a light show, possibly endangering some fighters in the blast radius but I doubt it would destroy them. Drat! I can't remember the name. But the Hiigaran battleship that doesn't move that fast and has lots of guns. D-something...bah. You can also call in some AI-manned ships, the HydraShark IIs. They are a frigate based around one SHARG. When a SHARG shell hits, there's a big boom and they take out subsystems like CRAZY. The only problem is that the turrets are fairly fragile for their size, and once disabled they take a long time to get fixed. |

mhhhh i rember a discussion in homeworld 1 manual..... fighters and corvettes with support of frigates and capital ship with fighters cover, what is best? also i think that will be possible create a prince of hiigara hull refitted with very heavy missiles and torpedos weapons. in future when the liirhas will replace the old arbiters in combat those fast ships can provide cover for this missiles based capital combat ship. to boldly go where no one has gone before

SHARGs are seen on both the Iskandar Shah BL and the Arelian Defender CBH. One of my personal favorite weapons systems, especially the 640mm repeater variant.

I hope we've got the scale issue cleared up. Remember that space is big and ships are fast. Engagements take place over thousands of kilometers. That's why a siege cannon won't work. Too much area for the blast to cover. "This is tactical control..."
