An additional thing: I couldn't for some reason build any Kharakian Avengers or Arbiter Fleet Cruisers.... I met all the prerequisites however. Should I just go for a reinstall? |

This is Commander Zane Solomon, of the 3rd fleet. We are online and ready to assist you.

Vala - either intended features or for the last point. HW2 related issues. No point posting. Same for the other issues. Employment of Arbiter weaponry is all about one thing: positioning. Deployment = capital vessels still require chassis research. Avenger requires on-board advanced res. module. Renamed title of forum thread to better reflect nature of discussion. Oh, is it just me or can you no longer target the engines on the Al-Khalid?
If the fireball can't be seen from orbit you obviously aren't trying hard enough.

When I target them it's a move order rather than a targeting order. |

Yeah, I'm getting the same.

Quote RoyalScion wrote: A problem I had was that when I build the Hiigaran Siege Cruiser (The 8000 RU one... can't remember the name right now) There was no base model.... you just saw the gun turrets/subsystems floating in space around an invisible hull... I've had this same problem with the Iskandar Shar (the 8000 RU one Scion ). It's fine until combat begins. The added PDS weapons remain visible but the original model (where have I seen this one before?) disappear.

@ Royal Scion That's probably because low polygon models haven't been incorporated for those and the lavi as well. If your game decides to use those because of missing cpu resources you are at a loss. It happened to me too. |

I reported it during betatest but again, I can target some of Quad ICA on Deliverance model (It shows me a move icon instead of attack icon when I move cursor over the turret). |

Ok nevermind I solved my own problems with construction... didn't realize you had to research those technologies... since not much other research is available... ![]() Basically that's it though. |

Dojoyoda - inspected Iskandar Shah configuration file. Looks fine to me. It has no LOD models so the cutoff for displaying the ship model is 18km. More than enough. Two custom corvette models also have no LOD - disappears at 6km. Edited by TelQuessir on 05-10-2005 01:36 |

Iskandar Shah does not appear to have repair/dock points; this per your intentions? |

I also had the problem of not being able to target the engine of the Al-Khalid. The engine subsystem was listed as "indestructible" in its ship file so I just changed it to damageable and was able to target the engines again. This was also the case for the Deliverance. |

They -are- meant to be indestructible. No more boasting of "I disabled a battleship's engines YAY!" I am NOT entertaining such editings just because you felt like doing something. As for Iskandar Shah repair latch points - valid observation, thanks. Edited by TelQuessir on 05-10-2005 06:23 |

While playing a skirmish last night, I set my strike groups to taget an Al-Khalid's engines, and they did so. I watched the damage bar drop to nought.
