OOC: As far as the storyline goes, we are as yet unaware of the existance of some of the new vaygr ships in Beta-8 like the Double Dragons, BattleBarge, and T-108 thunderer corvettes and whatnot. I wanted to stress that out a bit in the storyline. Anyways, simple oversight, happens to the best of us ![]() *** ATTN: Admaral Seraphim Date: 23/4/9620-GSY Subject: SITREP Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Daimond Cluster-88564, Ezra Shanir System Admaral Seraphim, we'll get to the topic of what the hell you're doing all the way over there later. I want an immediete SITREP on your status, enemy fleet strength, etc. Don't skimp on attaching sensor logs and memory backups. I can't help you without knowing at least some basic strategic positioning. If you are able, retreat to our rally point at SY-30, or our tertiary position near asteroid GCK-334782. Once there, use a probe as a relay point for further messages, and give me any relavent data. Clear? Watsas, out. -Rear Admaral I. ----Decrypting-------- ---> Clarance Zulu-Niner required >>>> CODE EXCEPTED ATTN: Admiral Seraphim, Watsas, Captain Lynham Date: 23/4/9620-GSY Subject: Deployment Data Location: HN Relentless II CVHA-28, ESO-2116 Dense asteroid field, approximately 3.2 parsecs from the Cluster8856, Ezra Shanir system This has become a Qwaardamn mess. My forces assigned to escort the convoy where halted by a Vaygr blockade. Thus my force is cut off from the direct path to the Shipyard and the only way to get there is taking ''the long way'' which would take too long. Loses on the escort force have been moderate, full casualties list will follow if it didn't get too scrambled by the Vaygr Jamming. To make things worse, our patrols have also detected several high-mass objects heading this way and by their movement patterns it's obvious they're not asteroids. For now we detected 5 but we presume there are more. Our only way out is heading for sector 415, the presumed location of admiral Seraphim. We triangulated his position to an area of approximately 12 AU^3, so finding him should prove very difficult, but it's our only way out. Our joint forces should be able to brake the blockade and escape. Admiral Watsas and Captain Lynham, try to make full use of this massive Vaygr force deployment. I... Dear Sajuuk, the vanguard has just reported that the Vaygr force has entered their primary sensor range, we need to move quickly. May Sajuuk Light your way. And the way of us all. - Fleet Admiral V. ATTN: All HN forces present Date: 23/4/9620-GSY Subject: Incoming Vaygr/Taiidani forces Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Daimond Cluster-88564, Ezra Shanir System Priority alert, we have picked up a large Vaygr fleet with Imperial supportinmg elements moving towards the location of SY-30. One of my patrols has been engaged resulting in the destruction of several enemy frigates, but the loss of the battlecruiser HN Icarus and it's air group to Vaygr bomber swarms. The Vaygr are mounting a massive frontal assault on my position and are deploying several carriers to flank me. Imperial Taiidani heavy assault ships and strategic interceptors seem to be supporting this assault group., and we are detecting an unknown object of immense size heading in our direction. The Vaygr seem to be escorting it, but we have no information on it as of yet. Still, it's moving rather slowly. My main forces have established a perimiter and I'm sending fast attack units and escort Battlecruisers in to try and destroy the enemy carriers. Admaral Seraphim's orders remain unchanged and Admaral Nabaal is to link up with Captian Lynham and try to open a second front. Link up with my forces if at all possible. Admaral Ko'malak and several Hiigaran rearguard units have shifted course and are on their way here, but until they arrive we have to hold out. Keep your wits about you, and don't do anything stupid. Watsas, out. -Rear Admaral I. Watsas, 308th LCD/56th TSOG Joint Task Force, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 1337-4229 |

ATTN: Admiral Watsas Date: 23/4/9620-GSY Subject: Convoy Location: SY-30 Staging Area In light of the current increase of enemy activity, I am requesting permission to return the civilian convoy to the slipgate. The captains are all getting very jittery, and I think it is only a matter of time before they try and make a break for it themselves. I think the best course of action is to take them there under escort rather than wait for them to go it alone. If we power down all non-essential systems and re-route power to the main drives, we can be there and back in two days, at which point I will endeavour to join Admiral Naabal. Otherwise, I will leave the convoy at SY-30 and attempt to join Naabal at once. Also, I am pleased to inform you that the new sensor suite for nebula operations has successfully been installed. In addition, the HN Unseen was given an overhaul by the SY-30 techs, and is now 15% more effective at sensor jamming, which may prove crucial in these conditions. The commander of SY-30 has kindly transferred two wings of bombers to my ship and four wings of LSF-IIs to HN Knight, so we are now at full operational strength. With your permission, I will also take command of the HN Surprise, a Prince of Hiigara that has just finished repair operations. I await your instructions. Out. - Captain A. ATTN: All HN forces present Date: 23/4/9620-GSY Subject: Main enemy phalanx thrust, situation FUBAR Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Daimond Cluster-88564, Ezra Shanir System Alert. We have detected a large enemy force encroaching on our position consisting of elements of three Vaygr strike fleets with several captial ships present. What's worse is that we've detected a MASSIVE mobile battlestation with unknown combat capabilities. My forward forces engaged part of the enemy spearhead and managed to rout some lighter units and a recon carrier, but all attacks on the 'Battle Barge' were ineffective. Two battlecruisers and numerous support ships were lost, and the surviving carriers and ComLog units forced to retreat. *** TIME: 10:19 hours SST, 23/4/9620-GSY LOCATION: Daimond Asteroid Field, Ezra Shanir system TASKING: Intercept Enemy Attack Force FORCES ENGAGED: (14th DESRON/12th CBG/Delta-14 DAG, 308th LCD) 2xPrince of Hiigara BCE: HN Baldread BCE-49, HN Sunderland BCE-55 2xLiirHra CL: HN Shu CL-83, HN Bosphorous CL-331 1xAgressor CA: HN Sickle CA-87 1xMarquess-CVL: HN Depoe Bay CVL-107 4xBloodhound FF: HN Cormorant FF-771, HN Di FF-619, HN Nardik FF-676, HN Juniper FF-407 4xLothringen FA: HN Tokos FA-666, HN Lancer FA-672, HN Denali FA-318, HN Foresight FA-616 1xLinebacker-HESP: HN Evensong FJ-82 1xNightengale AOE: HN Abrina Somtaaw AOE-516 1xResolution FA: HN Tarawa FA-233 10xCutlass VX 12xLSF-II 12xThunderbolt-I TB 8xAvenger-IV TA 3xLavi VG 3xTrident-VK Several Resourcers Numerous Probes ENEMY FORCES: (Confirmed) 1xUnidentified Mobile Battlestation 2xAl-Mou-Akir CA 1xKhalifa BB 2xAl Moudamer CF 1xKaghan CV 6xAnsaar-III FG 6xChevilier FA 4xQuarnah FH 1xShanin FS 4xLaser Corvette 4xMissile Corvette 9xShamshir VG 8xUnidentified Attack Fighter 8xI3H TA Numerous Probes CASUALTIES: Severe. Most of my capital ships and frigates KIA, fully half my fighter wing destroyed. HN Depoe Bay and HN Abrina Somtaaw escaped with roughly half my LSFs and Thunderbolts and ComLog batallion, all other ships presumed lost ENEMY CASUALTIES: 1xKaghan CV, 5xAnsaar FG, all Quarnah and Chevilier frigates, all Laser and Missile Corvettes, Several fighters, one Moudamer CF. All other enemy capital ships sustained moderate damage, enemy Battle Barge unaffected TASK FORCE STATUS: Surviving ships retreating at top speed for SY-30's position. My forward force was expected to engage the enemy capital Phalanx in a single action, thus pinning them between my two battlecruisers and Ion beam frigates. However, the enemy forces had deployed their units to sweep the area, likely not expecting my fleet. The enemy pinged my cruisers and deployed their forward carriers and frigates to try and overwhelm the Cruisers. In responce to this, my units were broken up into a two pronged assault. By cruisers would stay together and intercept the Carrier, while my frigates and light cruisers moved to engage the frigate group based around the Moudamer class hull. Given the sensor instability in the region, the Vaygr forces likely didn't see the Liirhra/frigate group approaching in low emmission mode. At any rate, this group sucessfully ambushed the Moudamer taskgroup and destroyed the majority of it's frigates and crippled the Cruiser itself. At the same time, by Battlecruisers were assaulting the enemy carrier force. The forward lance of Strategic Interceptors had killed the Missile frigates and scattered the fighter screen elements as the cruisers advanced. Coordinated fire from the cruisers, interceptors, and supporting fleet soon destroyed the carrier. At this point, we had finally detected the Battlestation advancing on our position. It was flying under minor fighter escort and we figured that a multi pronged flanking manuver would allow us to overwhelm the vessel. This is where the tide turned. As my main force manuvered into position, the light cruiser group was ambushed by an enemy heavy Battleship backed up by a squadron of Shamshir corvettes. As my Ion frigates and LiirHras attempted to flank the BB and my Bloodhounds and LSFs wrangled the Shamshirs, an Al'Mou'kir class carrier emerged from an asteroid drift and began laying into the Bosphorous. The Squadron called a retreat but were unable to escape the sudden flanking manuver and were quickly destroyed. At the same time, my main force had begun to assault the Battle Barge. My Cutlasses and Agressor cruiser were attacking the station to draw it's fire while my cruisers flanked. At the same time, my Avenger IVs and corvettes tried to intercept a squadron of unidentified fighter craft that were escorting the vessel. The results proved disasterous. The unknown fighter craft proceeded to ignore the Avengers and engage my cutlasses as the Battle Barge made short work of the Agressor Cruiser, swatting it down with a barrage of cannons and missiles. Then my Battlecruisers opened up, but they did neglagable damage. One thing to note was the Battle Barge's extreme latteral turning capability for something that large. The barge, armed with four foreward mount ultra heavy ion cannons turned rapidly, and fired a full salvo into the Baldread, almost instantly destroying the ship. At this point, another Al'mou'akir arrived from behind the Battle Barge, But this would have mattered little even if it had not been there. The Battle Barge swung around and Fired it's beams into the Sunderland, rapidly causing it's reactor to detonate. The few surviving fighters tried to retreat, but the Barge put up a storm of proximity detonating shells, cutting down the rest of the strike wing. By this point, the Remaining ships had decided to run like hell. Something I fully would have supported doing. However, only the Depoe Bay and Abrina Somtaaw were sucessful in avoiding the Converging Vaygr forces. Both ships are now en-route to the Staging area. *** Since this engagement, the Main Vaygr fleet has clustered around the Battle Barge with only light elements and forward scout carriers maintaining flanking manuvers. From what we can tell, they seem to be readying a full frontal assault on the Shipyard, hoping to use the Battle Barge to punch through our fleet. I have recalled all forces to the defense of the staging area and shipyard. I am also requesting that Admaral Nabaal dispatch ANY of his capital ships able to move into defensive positions around the shipyard and merge with my heavy combatants to form a large Capital Phalanx. However, I'd like you to leave your lighter elements in place for the time being to prevent any flanking manuvers and keep an exit route open for us, and an egress route open for Admaral Ko'malak when he arrives. -Rear Admaral I. ATTN: Admiral Watsas, Captain Lynham Date: 23/4/9620-GSY Subject: Sit.Rep. Location: HN Relentless II CVHA-28, Spacial grid-1223, Last known position of Admiral Seraphim Comrades this is ugly. Dear... We found Admiral Seraphim's fleet, or what's remained of it. No survivors detected. They put one hell of a fight, however. There are a lot of Vaygr debris everywhere along with some unknown components, Probably from your ''Battle Barge''. There are good news however. Several of the Admiral's vessels including he's flagship are not present among the wreckage. Another good news is that I found the source of those 'endless reinforcements' Seraphim was talking about, several Hyperspace gates, inactive but they can be repaired, hopefully one will lead near your position. - Fleet Admiral V. We are carrying the advanced engineering team admiral Naabal requested and that ship ----->>>> Decoding: a Leviathan class battleship with class 311X experimental hull plating <<<<-----, to enter that radiation field, but we are detecting heavy fighting across the sector, please advise.'' Admiral Watsas I'm placing the Battleship under your command, if it does half the things it's supposed to we could still turn the tide of this battle. ETA to gate repair 15-36 standard hours. The transceivers are broken and we'll have to repair a gate to know where it goes. Sajuuk willing we'll get the gate in the first few shots, if not... |

ATTN: Admiral Watsas, Admiral Naabal Date: 24/4/9620-GSY Subject: Requesting orders Location: SY-30 Staging Area The civilian captains have informed me that they no longer wish to leave the safety of the staging area, with or without our escort, so I am proposing that either I move to support a counterattack by Admiral Watsas, or that I move my capitals out to some distance within the surrounding asteroid belt and power down so that we might surprise any attacking enemy forces. If they are as strong as you say, getting off the first shot may be the only way that they will be destroyed. I do not doubt that to wait would be our undoing, so if I do not recieve further orders, I will lay an extensive minefield in the areas around the SY-30 staging area and then take up position on the safe side of the minefield waiting in ambush. In case you do not get this for several days, I have attached a map of the minefield I shall lay and the safe passage through that I will leave. ***CODED DATA PACKET RECIEVED- ASTROMETRICS SUITE UPDATED> SY-30 DEFENSIVE MINEFIELD LOGGED*** Attached is a list of my current forces. OOC: Do you think we could possibly have some kind of Online thing where the three of us (Komo'val, Watsas, Ace) all fight together against the Vaygr agressors? Good idea? *** ATTN: All HN forces present Date: 23/4/9620-GSY Subject: Enemy fleet movements Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Daimond Cluster-88564, Ezra Shanir System Ok, the Battle Barge and it's escort fleet seems to have stopped about 0.57AU from our current position to wait for reinforcements. This offers us an oppurtunity for us to strike back, but to do that I will need to commit ALL of my fleet resources in a single strike on the Barge. If I can sucessfully do that, admaral Nabaal can leapfrog my position as I repair and rearm and launch an attack on the Vaygr re-inforcemnets. Given how little we know about this... thing, I would not mount a frontal assault on it under all but the most FUBAR situations. Unfortunately, that is exactly what this is, so I will have to risk it. I have three Majiirians in my fleet, the Kelsaetiu, Rukh, and Vancouver, plus the Haruna, four Arbiter CL's, and two LiirHras I'm willing to commit, plus the Willamatte itself and numerous Frigates and Strikecraft. I'm leaving my other Capitals and carriers with the Shipyard. The Vaygr's exact numbers are unknown. We need a joint plan of action, and we need it quick. It's only a matter of time before the Vaygr reinforcements arrive, and the shipyard can't outrun them in this soup. Suggestions? -Rear Admaral I. Attn: Hiigaran Admiralty Date:23/4/9620-GSY Subject: Status Location: HGNS Luy'Rah BBH-21, Erza Shanir Outskirts. I have re-Established Communication with Command and ofcourse the line here, Your "How the hell" happened when the Vaygr bastards detonated a device in a small nebula, an obvious trap. The emp and heat damaged many of my ships. Things got worse when comms were jammed and we became the targets of many Corvettes dropping false sensor bouys.. we lost our navigation quickly as their bombers started making runs on our ships. We began engaging full scale Vaygr assaults and what looked like a Shipyard of sorts that, may have been a custom creation. Many MANY guns were installed on this thing but eventually we slayed the beast. My last message was sent out on the 18th, I am not sure how much of it survived subspace transmission but we have finally cleared the nebula. Anyways, I do not have an accurate list on what we have killed during the battle but I do have an accurate report on what ships survived, it's not good at all. ATTN: All Hiigaran Forces Present Date: 24/4/9620-GSY Location: SY-30 Minefield Protected Staging Area Might I suggest using a decoy? Say, use my fleet to lure in the vaygr, sensing an easy victory, and then use your Majirians as a sudden hammer blow... If we can find an area of heavy interference, then we will have the advantage of better sensor suites- anything smaller than a Prince of Hiigara with low-observation markings and sensors off would be invisible to the Vaygr until they were well within visual range. This monster must have a weak point, and if we can only get some DEWs pointed at its rear, we may have a chance. I am confident that with the expert sensor techs on HN Unseen in my fleet, so long as the ambush were executed correctly, then I should not take any losses, Sajuuk willing. If it is my fate to be lost in this engagement, then so be it, as long as victory is ours. I can be at your position in twelve hours if I ignore some fleet operating protocols. TASK FORCE STATUS: Ready and willing Sensing we didn't have much time, we prepared and jumped trough the gate. Greeting us was an awesome site: A Vaygr armada floating above an uncharted planetoid. We put our plan in motion. Each ship quickly scanned several hyperspace gates, as the Vaygr where still powering up their weapons. The Dominator found a hyperspace gate leading close to SY-30 (thus I presume the force encountered was readying and ambush and assaulting our shipyard from the back). An EMP drone was launched just as the Vaygr powered up their guns and disabled that gate thus preventing the Vaygr forces to deactivate the gate until we can commandeer it. At the same time we did our best to jam their comm and laid down heavy suppressing fire. Then we leapfrogged to the gate (which fortunately wasn't very far). Our cruisers and battleships formed a shield because the Vaygr ought to have realized what we were doing and would most certainly tried to destroy the gate, which they tried. No fighters where deployed during combat since launch and recovery operations would take up too much time, however we made extensive use of drones. Note that most of our success was granted by the fact that the Vaygr forces where not ready for us. Since the EMP charge was intentionally of small duration, we launched a Leach which powered up just selected parts of the system in preparation for hacking. Our hackers, which I must congratulate, did a superb job and managed to reclaim the gate before the power went up. Once the gate was back up we quickly proceeded to enter it, but no before we launched all the drones and missiles we could, with primary targets the Hyperspae gates that where still alive. The last ship to enter Was my flagship, the Relentless which left a couple of presents, several multi-gigaton nuclear mines. *** The gate we exited trough was destroyed. Still no explanation how it got here, maybe that Vaygr 'flanking force' that Admiral Watsas destroyed several days ago, but that is only speculation. Anyways we are ready to drive out the Vaygr forces from the system, than finally we can take Ostana and liberate the oppressed people there. - Fleet Admiral V. B. Now, we've started getting Vaygr assault corvettes Launching off of a nearby Carrier trying to harrass our interceptor CAP, and we can't affoard them breaking through. Also, that BattleBarge is still there, and holding it's position. Hoowever, we have a bit of a trump card. The Nalthoran sensor ships have picked up a number of high mass objects clustered around what we think is a shipyard near Planet Larik, that may be their staging area. I want Admaral Seraphim to meet up with Admaral Nabaal, and the two of you to engage that shipyard. It appears to have a small DESRON made up of Al'moudamer cruisers and light frigates patrolling nearby, but If you use the hyperspace gates properly, you just might have a chance of catching them off guard. Captian Lynham, yours is the only capital ship in range of the Vaygr carrier launching those sorties at our CAP, so I want your group to engage the carrier. If that ship is destroyed then that flank will collapse. My force is preparing a sortie against the Battlebarge, I'll send in my main Capital Phalanx and overwhelm the thing, while my supporting componants provide cover. The Willamatte will be part of this group and I will provide fighter cover. Admaral Ko'malak is less then 6 hours out from SY-30. Should I fail, he will take up the defense. His units are experianced in Nebula fighting and assuming I cause enough damage, should have the Tactical advantage of a fully stocked force with Fire support and heavy Air cover. If we all succeed, we can well throw the Vaygr in the area into dissarray and regain the offensive momentum we lost. We'll probably have to dislodge small Vaygr contingents hanging around the area, but the Bulk of the forces will be history, should Myslef and Admarals Nabaal and Seraphim complete their duties. -Rear Admaral I. Watsas, 308th LCD/56th TSOG Joint Task Force, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 1337-4229 |

ATTN: All Hiigaran Forces Present Date: 24/4/9620-GSY Subject: Holding. Location: HGNS Luy'Rah BBH-21, Erza Shanir Outskirts. Our Stealthy tunning even caught Admiral naabal off gaurd! five minutes ago when we activated Active Sensors, we picked up almost 200 missile locks at once.. Luckily we registered as friendlies... Aside from that, we are currently ready for limited combat. We've taken many losses already but my crews are quite ready to exact their vengence. -Admiral F. Seraphim, 3rd Fleet, Assigned: Joint Task force 56th, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 4736-2189 I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last... the beginning and your end.

ATTN: Admarals Nabaal & Seraphim Date: 24/4/9620-GSY Subject: Beginning engagement Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Daimond Asteriod Field, 175,000km from enemy position, Ezra Shanir System Ok, everyone seems to be in position. My main forward contingents have already reported skirmishes and my main line is preparing to Engage the enemy fleet and the Battle Barge. Given the sensor instability in the region, we cannot coordinate a to the minuite precise assault, but we can get within a thin margin. I am giving you the order to engage. Admaral Nabaal, Admaral Seraphim, go for the enemy staging area, break up their force and destroy the carriers and shipyard. If you can do this, the forces in Ezra Shanir will crumble. I am going to be Engaging the Battle Barge within the hour, so If I do not report back soon, expect the worst. Should I fall, admaral Nabaal will take over my position temorarily until STRATCOM decides otherwise. Good luck to all of you, and may the Martyrs of Kharak protect you. Admaral Watsas out. -Rear Admaral I. Watsas, 308th LCD/56th TSOG Joint Task Force, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 1337-4229 |
