Elloes, a bit late for me. I got hooked on the HW series after watching the un-modded Homeworld 2 in action, at a computer cafe. I nearly fell in love with the thing, since the storyline, graphics, and gameplay was so well done! To this day, I'm waiting for my copy of Homeworld 2 to arrive from trekking across the Canadian lands of frozen ice (not really...) and while I was doing research on HW, I ran into this! From what I've seen, this is a great mod, with some greater minds and people behind it. |

Hiyas, I'm DF and I got hooked on HW1 as soon as it came out, it presented a great challenge to me though and I have yet to complete it. I am 15, and have experience in modding for Jedi Academy, but it would be cool to try out some HW2 stuff, if people are willing to teach me the ropes. I mostly have experience in texturing, but I may be able to do some ship models with practice. Gimme a PM if you want to help me out or chat or whatever, it's dull right now here in Canada |

Hi Im an 18 year old Student from Germany. Ive recently dug up my homeworld 2 again and stumbled upon your awesome mod. I absolutely love it, especially the Taiidani, the enemy almost always looks superior but most often he isnt, and even if you loose you will still leave him with his ass ripped wide open, though i must admit i was a bit shocked when those explosions made my screen go all white for the first time. ![]() Oh, also ive recently started watching Babylon 5 and i love it. Mr. Morden: What do YOU want?
Ambassador Vir Cotto: I'd like to live just long enough to be there when they cut off your head and stick it on a pike as a warning to the next ten generations that some favors come with too high a price. I want to loo |

Hell-o, I am from Ireland, Limerick to be more exact. I'm 26 years old, going on 27 in 2 months...oh joy. I am taking a "break" from working full-time, but I have got procrastination , a very serve case of that . I look after and run several sites atm. I love the HW series, it is still unique using the 3D scale correctly :ale::lunachan::lunagun: |

Hey all! I'm a 21 year old from British Columbia, Canada. I am engaged and set to get married on the 28th of this month! I've been a warehouse manager since I graduated, but have had my hands in a couple different construction fields which I would like to pursue as a future employment option. I got the first Homeworld: Special Edition after reading articles about it in PC Gamer and fell in love with the graphics. After playing, I found it highly addictive! Upon arrival I bought Cataclysm. This was another joy of joys for me, although to this day I have not played the single player campaign in HWC. HW2 came out, I was outta money, so I downloaded a copy *bad me i know* and wrapped the game after a couple 3 o'clock mornings. When I finally had money to buy the game, it was gone Needless to say I have a legit copy now so its all good. Saw PDS on you tube and just HAD to try it! Thats probably all you want to know ![]() |

Hello everyone, I am a 26 year former navy Sonar Tech who is now going to college to study and then one day teach Physics. I also have dabbed a little into computer programing (nothing fancy just some simple stuff). I live in Minneapolis Minnesota, USA and currently for work I am employed at a warehouse as well. Besides HW2 I also play Warhammer 40K (yes it's just as expensive as you have heard) as the Tau, and also I play the WH40K computer game Dawn of War: Dark Crusade(usually as Tau here too). I am also the guy working here on making the sensors more realistic for that "Naval Simulator/Harpoon in Space" feel for the PDS project. I have actually been a member of the site since 2006 and watched PDS go from 6.0 on and have enjoyed it a lot. Until recently however I had thought you guys had someone for the sensors development (silly me for assuming).:werd: I hope that my system for the sensors will help the overall vision of PDS and that all of you (the players and other mod builders) will enjoy it. Cheers:beer: Trentwolff For the greater good.

PDS actually has a lot of real-world military heritage in its development crew. Just ask yasotay. We've had one or two US Air Force, a few Navy, lots of Army and even one Coast Guard guy along for the ride in our earlier days. And that's just for the States. More community members interested in PDS later on decided to join the real world military, with at least one of our current inventory of active supporters following suit. My military experience doesn't count because I worked with Army psychologistas for 2 years and that's it. Explains my liking for Vaygr war-mistresses. Learning about leadership training, theories and doctrine development at the age of 20 was mentally and emotionally draining but in RL today I literally rule the battlefields. Now 23, the most successful in what remains of a broken family, taking care of the mother who has a fetish for Rennaissance things, sparring with the evil witches at work on a daily basis and generally enjoying life the way -I- expect it to be on a metal horse. Everyone tells me to relax, take life easy; but where is the satisfaction in merely following the flock? I can do better than the status quo, much better, looking at my track record in the restaurant industry and also in PDS - and at the end of it all I can tell everyone that I succeeded because unlike everyone else I dared to make personal sacrifices and take risks in achieving the mission objective at hand. All I need next is a baroque outfit to go along with the Granado Espada MMORPG. Edited by TelQuessir on 05-10-2007 08:48 |

Hey. Might as well post here. I'm.. Hmm.. I'm a 35 year old guy that suffers a lot from depression and am therefore on disability allowance. Since I have a lot of free time and since I find it relaxing I read a lot of history. I also have a degree in sociology, philosophy and Greek and Roman Civilisation. I am particularly taken by the naval history of world war 1 (though I am no expert on it) Theres just something that gets you when you hear stories of peopel heading out in subs, missing with their torpedoes and then swimming out and dragging back the torpedo for another try by hand.. Hmm, better stop or people will ask me to comment on stuff and I'll reveal I know a lot less than I would like to! I have won and ran several wargame tournaments and am generally well respected as a wargamer by those that know me.I live in limerick, Ireland. My last job was doing technical support and network admin for a charity (which was good as when I started I had no idea how to run a network!) I do a weakly radio show as a Volunteer in a community radio station, and am currently trying to fight through the demons in my head and pull my life together and find something that pays a wage packet ![]() I played the original homeworld when it came out and loved it. I have played each literation of homewold since and love them all. I'm probably the one person in the world that misses fuel for strikecraft though! I felt it gave an interesting tactical element to the combat and gave a decent balance to strike craft. I came across PDS in version 6 and got stuck on mission 3, and gave up as I did not have a clue what I was doing and could not understand how to proceed. I'm back and I've loaded up 6.1 in a separate install and yes I'm stuck on mission 3 again But I like the campain *shrug*Not sure what I can contribute here but I'll toss in bits of thoughts here and there if you will let me

I'm an 18 year old on a gap year who currently is unemployed and looking for a job. I live in the UK, and blew my money on a new comp after discovering a copy of HW2 I'd bought was too good for my old one. My surname is Lynham and my initials A.C.E... go figure. I read a lot, and my best subjects are Economics/ History. That said, I did avidly read Jane's when I was younger, and have a reasonable amateur knowledge of modern naval warfare. I got into PDS as soon as I'd completed HW2 and haven't looked back since! |

Welcome gents. We do spend a fair amount of time chatting about the naval implications of our wonderful little mod. It has been a couple of years since the last great debate on the nature of "space control", "space superiority" and "Planetary Blockade -vs- Invasion." Sir T - your sociology background will be well appreciated in discussion on the nature of the varied civilizations that inhabit the PDS'verse. I am ancient

Hey, I'm 22 (23 this month) from Scotland, no significant other and no fancy career. ![]() I played PDS ages ago on HW2 because it made the game better, and because I didn't like the fact the stock ships seemed so badly armed. Came back recently and playing the newest version. Found the mod from Relicnews forums, and I've been playing Homeworld since the first installment awed my young impressionable self with its awesome story, background and visual/audio feel. ![]() |
