ATTN: Hiigaran Admiralty. Date: 07/04/9620-GSY 1300 hours. Subject: The move. Location:HGNS Luy'Rah BBH-21, Hyperspace highway. Admiral watsas, I reviewed your last message and didn't get a chance to reply promptly, my appologies but as I was reading, we got long range sensor pings, Your vaygr fleet. We immediatly launched EW drones and Falsifiers to lure them near a small nebula, The coordinates are uploaded after the message is sent. This action should give you a clear chance to circle around them, kill them from Cover inside the nebula, hopefully. We haven't got any real confirmation they've taken the bait because we started moving quickly right after we launched our drones. Admiral Nabaal, After the close call with that rear battlegroup, if they survive, they'll be downright pissed to find out their hyperspace gates have been thrashed. I figured how they were doing this middle one, I think I engaged a Junction section, Four seperate gateways and we caught ALOT of stragglers from your attack just south. The initial engagement was horrendous but strangely enough I think they were preoccupied with running than fighting. I lost two frigates.. TWO! It was amazing. First I had my carriers take up a position 'Above' their area and launch their fighters. Once my Cap ships got in range they must have turned their fighter screens off for power saving issues because those fighters and bombers got right in and tore them up. the battle was incredibly short lived. their battlecruisers got their first shots off and that is when my frigates were destroyed, sad it is that they were the closest two targets but once those fighters started their runs, they quickly tried to make a break for the gates. My carriers however, launched two seperate waves, one to hit their defence fleet, and one for the gates themselves. The second wave hit the gates and destroyed all but one, the one leading back towards new colorado. The vaygr ships made it back to the gates for the most part but once they got there, it was obvious they lost hope as we were right behind them, we opened fire and destroyed three frigates, they rest started transmitting surrender codes. We also got a HIGH ranking Vaygr Admiral that I am sending on one of my Liihiras to admiral watsas for questioning. The ships designation is LC-113 'Avair' Our losses, x1 Missile frigate, HGN Hukra ffm-3452, KIA x1 Assault Frigate, HGN Sokl'ma ffa- 776, KIA Opponent losses, x3 Assault frigate, KIA x2 Battlecruiser, Captured x4 Assault frigate, Captured x3 DEW frigate, Captured x3 Missile Frigate, Captured x1 Fleet carrier, Captured It is now obvious, that these vaygr have been under supplied for quite some time, their battlecruisers still had scars from the initial attack on hiigara years ago. Most seemed to jump at the prospect of getting food. We are currently holding the prisoners aboard their ships with close in gaurd by my ship and pretty much all others. Sorry Admiral nabaal but I cannot move until these have been dealt with. I am considering using these vaygr in combat though if they agree. Some have openly said aloud things concerning that supposed Taiidan admiral that has been, "in the area" as that Vaygr admiral said, before I sent him off. I have had no sign of those taiidan marked ships so far, either they made it out before I arrived or they are inside new colorado awaiting swift justice by our forces. Some of these vaygr seem rather sympathetic towards our cause and I might enact a claus that if they aid us in battle, they can join in the hiigaran alliance, shown is section 5.46.324 of the immigrant laws. Even though they are stated as enemy combatants, I do believe that the correct term for vaygr is, "city of the stars" They are more or less slaves. So, I'll review the law more to determine any way I can use these obviously battered individuals and then free them.. Praise hiigara and hopefully admiral nabaal and I shall be in new colorado discussing our favorite types of housing styles within a few days. -Admiral F. Seraphim, 3rd Fleet, Assigned: Joint Task force 56th, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 4736-2189 I am the Alpha and Omega, the first and the last... the beginning and your end.

ATTN: Admarals Seraphim, Nabaal, and Donitere Date: 10/4/9620-GSY Subject: New Orders Location: SY-30 Manaan, Outer Dust Bands, New Colorado System. Relayed From HN STRATCOM: Due to your efforts, the Vaygr and Taiidani have left the system, and all stragglers have been neutralised. Turanic forces are now under investigation and we are keeping a large force in reserve in New Colorado to maintin security. we will also begin field mining operations to help supply Bastonagrad. Intelligence indicates that the majority of the Vaygr are moving into Ezra Shanir, in an attempt to avoid detection. Due to that environment, hyperspace is impossible and slipgates are hard to detect. Infact, slipgates are the only reasonably safe way into or out of that system. Admarals Watsas, Nabaal, and Seraphim will move into Ezra Shanir and clear the Vaygr out before transiting across the area. However, a small Vaygr/Taiidani force has moved into the northern Kechlyr sytem likely to hide in the Progenitor derelicts there. Admaral Donitere will move into the system, recon the Vaygr positions in the area, and assault them. However, there are active Progenitor derelicts in the large megaliths there. These should be considered hostile and destroyed if they prove to be a threat. But do not go out of your way to engage them. Admaral Ko'malak will stay in Nord Kavagrad to hunt down a group of Vaygr stragglers and reinforce our flanks before moving into Ezra Shanir. Admaral Watsas will provide more info. -HN STRATCOM *** Okay, this is going to be a bit tougher because of the 'terain' and possible presance of active Progenitor assault ships. However, If we can take advantage of out initiative and the AO, we can win the day. Now, most of the Vaygr are headed through Ezra Shanir on their way to the heavily fortified Ostana system, which the Vaygr are using as a regional capital. However, before we lay siege to Ostana, we must clear out the surrounding Kechlyr, Brie'n, and Nostok systems to the north, and Ezra Balkiin to the south. Me, Admaral Nabaal, and admaral Seraphim are headed right into the oven of Ezra Shanir. The system is centered around a late stage Red Giant star, likely to go nova within the next ten million years. The star is emmitting intense radiation, scrambles sensors, and is far too bright for normal dimmers to compensate, so our ships will have to be modified to suit this hostile environment. All but two of the system's planets have been thrown into the star or out of the system. These planets, Colo, and Larik are molten balls of iron and too hot for anything to survive even with modern enviro gear. Anything in the shadow behind these planets would be shielded from the light and radiation, so the Vaygr are likely hiding there. Ezra Shanir also has a large planetary fragments field full of asteroids and dustclouds. the asteroids closer to the stellar Dead Zone are all molten, but the outer ones should be harvestable. The few dust fields that haven't melted are the only safe areas to pass through. All crews should be issued anti-radiation stims and have daily medical checks. This won't be easy, but if done right, won't be suicidal. However, Admaral Donitere has a 'special' mission for him. He's going into Kechlyr, a massive field of Progenitor derelicts and debris. The environment is similar to the Karos graveyard, abiet smaller. The Area is likely full of derelects, and possibly active Progenitor attack droids. In the case of the Latter, you are to use wahtever means nessiscarry to complete your tasking. And should consider all Progenitors as threats. We also would like to add that we have a prototype computer virus that will change the Progenitor IFFs to our own, therefore they will recognise us as a frient, and the Vaygr/Taiidani as a foe. To make this go however, you must find the 'hub'. The hub is a nexus of Progenitor communications used by the AI's on Keepers, Guardians, Rangers, and Hive Carriers to communicate via FTL relays with subordinate craft. Now, we will refit our ships for the mission at hand at the two fleet shipyards before proceeding. Anything unusual will be reported to me ASAP. Dismissed. -Rear Admaral I. ATTN: Hiigaran Admiralty Date: 10/4/9260-GSY 1500hrs Subject: Refitting Location: HGNS Luy'Rah BBH-21, Staging area. Congratulations on everyones victory in the last operation, we did our work and pulled through so praise hiigara. I've sent most of our vaygr prisoners across the stars to hiigaran foriegner camps. Those prisoners consist of level one officers and so fourth, slaves were sent off to barren worlds to begin their new lives. I attempted to keep some of the vaygrs heavy hitters but command wanted the ships sent back for studies which makes sense due to the large amount of reported taiidan sightings, I assume they're checking for differences in the hulls. I've requested four additional vessels for my fleet to overcome any chance of losing a close in operation. the first thing I requested was the HGN Hope BBHX-6 but was ofcourse denied.. Sad that the Flagship of the western fronts has to stay there, "Kassi" deterrant they say, no one has ever had a REAL fight with them thus far, but I won't complain. I then requested Two additional Majiiran BattleCruisers, BBH-45/79.. I was Listed for One but they only had an old BBCH-28, A Deliverance, To cover the second cruiser. Interesting to have a ship schedualed for refit but Assuming that the northern wars have been going so ferociously so far, I can see why. The other two ships I requested are two Additional Prince of Hiigara BCs, I am very confident that my fleet should be able to go front line with any vaygr battlegroup at this point, especially with those three fleet carriers I have in my group. HGN Luy'rah BBH-21, Mahjiiran Battleship. (FLAG) HGN SeVathian BBCH-28, Deliverance BattleCruiser. HGN Nyaldaar BBH-79, Mahjiiran Battleship. HGN Kimov BCE-78, POH Escourt Battlecruiser. HGN Ove'Lur BCE-415, POH Escourt Battlecruiser. HGN Uvora BCE-987, POH Escourt Battlecruiser. HGN Hularian BCE-39, POH Escourt Battlecruiser. HGN P'vuller DD-32, Aggressor Destroyer. HGN Jillar DD-98, Aggressor Destroyer. HGN Desrot DD-432, Aggressor Destroyer. HGN U'varan LC-265, Liihira Cruiser. HGN Avair LC-113, Liihira Cruiser. HGN Kovurion CV-45, Imperator Carrier. HGN Hiperian CV-76, Imperator Carrier. HGN Dervash CV-62, Imperator Carrier. x10 Missile Frigate x20 Assault Frigate x10 DEW Heavy Frigate x8 Support frigate I believe my fleet rundown is completely accurate and we are by 11/4/9620-GSY 1600hrs should be completely refit and operational. I look forward to the next operation, -Admiral F. ATTN: hiigaran admiralty Subject: Mission Authority. Current compilations of Ezra Shanir have been completed to do a modular forecast of enemy positions and the abnormally high radiation levels eminated by Ezra Shanir star itself. Advise all to use this as a Guide and not a direct mission plan. Praise hiigara, Fleet Intelligence.

ATTN: Fallen Winter Admaralty Date: 11/4/9620-GSY Subject: Initial Theatre Recon Location: HN Willamatte CVH, Slipgate 3445.16, Ezra Shanir System My advance teams have arrived in Ezra Shanir and secured a permiter around the two slipgates into said system. We encountered a number of Vaygr RWS platforms, but these have been dealt with. Judging by the arrangement of these platofrms, they were erected in a hurry. We belive that the Vaygr fleet can't be too far out, as their ships are not equipped for this kind of environment, and are almost certianly hiding in the shadow of Larik and/or Colo. Our updated ships will protect our crews, but there is still a high risk of corrosion of sensitive parts like sensor arrays. Repair bots should be active and constantly scanning the hulls, and diagnostics of critical systems should be undertaked twice daily. There's also the issue of comminications difficulties with any ship without a Phased TM system (Most ASCA, repair bots, Kites, Blades, and older model Thunderbolts come to mind here). |

ATTN: Fallen Winter Admaralty Date: 15/4/9620-GSY Subject: Status Update Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Forward Staging Area, Ezra Shanir It has been five days since I last heard from the admaralty, and I'd like to see a report. You are to report your status, location, current tasking, and a log of any hostile contact in the time since the communications blackout. Currently, my fleet is holding position in a dense asteroid cluster and awaiting the arrival of several Nalthoran Nebula recon ships to help my detection capabilities, as I have been unble to detect any potential hostiles. I have had no direct contact with the Vaygr in the time since our last transmission, but decoded radio transmissions indicate that there is at least one shipyard and two carrier groups holding position in radioactive safe zones. We have the advantage of the Nalthoran recon ships however. These ships consist of three modified Alko Maru class bulk cruisers and one Kejilian (Modified Lovo) EW frigate. The larger ships have about a 1.2 lightyear passive detection range and a 59.7 million km active range. The specifics of the Kejilian FF are not subject to my knowlage. Furthermore, we are modifying our probes and scouts to deal with the harsh environment. The energy and radiation bline IR and UV spectrometers and sensors, the dust and planetary fragments give countless false radar returns, and lasers are reflected by microscopic crystalline fragments in ths dust (weapons grade DEWs should be uneffected). Irregardless, I want reports from each of you on my desk ASAP. Dismissed. -Rear Admaral I. Watsas, 308th LCD/56th TSOG Joint Task Force, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 1337-4229 |

Attn: Hiigaran Naval Authority. Date:15/4/9620-GSY 2100hrs Subject: Status Location: HGNS Luy'Rah BBH-21, Staging area. It has been quite some time between comminucations but it is rightly deserved as we haven't had a single Sensor ping or anything of the sort, The veterans of the last battle are still reeling and resting, especially with the knowledge we are to eventually invade Ostana, which frankly, even has me a little uptight. Every plan to attack Ostana has failed miserably. I mean, we've all seen the reports about how the taiidan attempted to take out ostana, which may be a key factor as to why they are now "friendly" to the vaygr in this region.. All speculation so far, but on the upside, My fleet is currently 100% operational. All crews have been updated as to their missions, ships are armed and hardened from radiation and any rouge strong EMP waves eminating from this dying giant star. i will continue to hold position until ordered otherwise. -Admiral F. ATTN: Admiral Watsas, Seraphim, Donitere Date: 15/4/9620-GSY Subject: Status Location: HN Relentless II CVHA-28, New Colorado System, preparing to enter the Ezra Shanir system I apologize for my absence my brothers in arms, but I was engaged in a level U operation, in case you haven't been informed. My ships have been retrofitted and my chief engineer is micro-calibrating the advanced sensor array on board the Relentless thanks to the telemetry data received from your ships. That should come in handy, however the due to the hostile environment it will not have such a long range nor be so precise. Hearing about the siege of Ostana makes me fell uneasy, but at the same time excited. In all my long years of service I have never conducted a Siege, let alone on such a fortified system as Ostana. I'll be entering the system in T-02:45. Sajuuk be our guide in this hell. - Fleet Admiral V. B. Naabal, 48th TSOG/56th TSOG Joint Task Force, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 2808-4454 |

ATTN: Admarals Seraphim & Nabaal Date: 16/4/9620-GSY Subject: Unknown Object Detected Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Planetary Fragments Field, Ezra Shanir Priority alert, the Nalthoran ships have arrived with Admaral Nabaal's fleet and they have pinged a large unidentified object within a dense gas cloud. Radiation is making it impossible to confirm, but trajectories and the possible presance of what we belive are drive contrails seem to indicate it may be part of the Vaygr fleet. However, the size of the object is inconsistant with Vaygr heavy capital ships and it appears to be rotating slowly. It may be a derelect starship, and should be investigated. Admarals Seraphim and Nabaal should vector some of their forces into the area to ID the unknown and engage any Vaygr in the area. I'll stay back and cover your flanks, as the Nalthoran recon picket assigned to my fleet haven't arrived yet. Watsas out. -Rear Admaral I. ATTN: Admiral Watsas, Seraphim, Donitere Date: 15/4/9620-GSY Subject: Moving to investigate Location: HN Relentless II CVHA-28, Ezra Shanir system Preliminary scans of the object are inconclusive. As Admiral Watsas said rotation was detected and a slight drift. It's very likely that it is a derelict. The scout drones sent to investigate have failed to return and we don't have any Phased TM system equipped probes. I won't risk sending avenger scouts, so I'm going in with the entire fleet and a Majestic class as support. Additional calibrations to the Relentless's systems are needed, however it is performing very well giving the circumstances. - Fleet Admiral V. B. ATTN: Admiral Watsas and Nabaal. Date: 15/4/9620-GSY 1700hrs Subject: Vectoring. Location:HGNS Luy'Rah BBH-21, Ezra Shanir outer rings. I appear to be the closest fleet to this nebula you've spoke of and I've sent two of my fastest ships to investigate, Also.. My ship, along with the HGN BBCH-28 SaVathian, are making tactical hyperspace jumps. They are accurate as per usual out this far from the system, I suspect anything closer to that nebula though would be increasingly risky due to said radiation and obvious sensor problems. I am sending linking codes to my flag Carrier, the HGN Phoria, The arcadia you gentlemen encountered so long ago. The phoria has installed a Long range deep penetration sensor net which is doing good to blast through the fog in the less dense outer portions of this system, and we do have a clear lock on the said ship. Once inside the actual second ring of the system this net will become useless so my carriers will not be entering the area. Long range for some odd reason never works short range, you'd figure someone would make an all around deep penetrating sensor.. But aside from that, Admiral Nabaal, You can join at this noted location with my Two Liihira Cruisers, the Hgn U'varan and the HGN Avair. If my calculations are correct, by the time you all get there, I can be around the backside of the object. The mix of normal drives and tact jumping is taking longer obviously due to large emp emissions from the star, but anyways, A pincer never fails, Sajuuk be with you brothers. -Admiral F. ATTN: Fallen Winter Admaralty Date: 15/4/9620-GSY Subject: Vaygr Encounter, Possible Flanking Force Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Planetary Fragments Field, Ezra Shanir SITREP is as follows, at 21:34 hours, a ComLog unit primarily consisting of a Callisto class armored merchant ship carrying parts for modified proximity sensors was ambushed in the planetary fragments field by a Vaygr patrol primarily consisting of light corvettes and frigates. What has me worried is that the patrol was well behind the 'front lines' which could mean that we have either overshot a Vaygr fleet while flying blind in this nebula, or that we're being flanked by a Vaygr TF. Fortunately, a local Light Cruiser Action Group was in the area nearby and was able to respond quickly and eliminate the threat. TIME: 21:34 hours (Ship Standard Time) 15/4/9620-GSY LOCATION: Planetary Fragments Field, Ezra Shanir system TASKING: Transit/Escort FORCES ENGAGED: (Merchant Marine C867) 1xCallisto ACE; IS-332504 CE-740 6xLSF-II 6xThunderbolt-I (LSF/Tbolts From VBW-68 'Fleja Raachock') 1xResource Collector ('DAG K-34-84') 1xLiirHra CL: HN Drover CL-308 1xLinebacker FJ: HN Blinder FJ-134 2xBloodhound IV FF: HN Castle FF-800 HN Tanner FF-767 2xLothringen FA HN Tokos FA-666 HN Mallard FA-337 2xHydra FSA FSA-6878 FSA-6609 1xResolution FA HN Leeches FA-721 ENEMY FORCES: 2xQuarnah FB 2xSpahi FA 2xAnsaar FG 1xShanin FS At least 14 Shamshirs (Number Unconfirmed due to sensor instability and record malfunctions) 8xResource Collector Presumably a nearby frigate/carrier servicing the Shamshirs and resourcers, through unconfirmed CASUALTIES: No ships lost, Drover Sustained significant damage, overhaul underway, Leeches took several port aft hits from Type-17 Light Plasma Beams, IS-332504 sustained noticable damage from beam hits and proximity ballistic warheads, several fighters lightly damaged, salvagable. ENEMY CASUALTIES: Enemy Carrier (If Present) retreated, all other known forces KIA TASK FORCE STATUS: IS-332504 has reached the Willamatte staging area and unloaded it's cargo and is now undergoing field refit to convert it it Arcadia Standard. It's escorts have been rotated into the Willamatte's escort roster. HN Drover is under repair and should be spaceworthy within 72 hours. __________________________________________________________________ The first sign of trouble C867 detected was a few scrambled EM transmissions about fifteen minuites before the ambush, and they continued on their assigned course until they reached a small asteroid field. This is when the Vaygr attacked, using a Taiidan-Esque manuver with a Frigate Echilon forward with Shamshirs moving up after the initial salvo. IS-332504 turned it's deck guns on the incoming frigates while it's escort fighters moved forward and fired a salvo of missiles, then retreated back to the freighter. This was a lucky manuver, because another wing of Shamshirs, encluding two EW versions were advancing on the ACE from the starboard side. The Fighter screen moved to engage these newcomers while the transport continued firing on the Vaygr assault fleet. By this point, the DAG had arrived on station and began moving to intercept the Main Vaygr fleet in a three stage assault (Pelting with beams at long range, then attacking with Combat Drones and Hypervelocity torpedoes at medium, then close assault direct fire). The initial barrage destroyed the Plasma Beam Frigate and one Missile Frigate, and more importantly, drew fire away from the flimsy armed merchant ship. The Vaygr concentrated fire onto the LiirHra cruiser Drover in an effort to break up our formation. This failed, despite the Drover sustaining somewhat severe damage. The Vaygr frigates were picked off one by one, save two Quarnah FB's which stubbornly held their ground and took the barrage that our fleet threw at them. However, they could not hold on for long, as they were destroyed within seconds of each other by a concentrated bombardment from Nuclear rockets, multi gigawatt Ion beams, and high velocity kinetic-kill combat drones. The Vaygr had been destroyed, save a few resourcers nearby (their presance raises further questions) which were engaged and destroyed by the LSF group. The DAG escorted the freighter back to our staging area and no additional sensor contacts were picked up. Two things make this incedent stand out. Firstly, there is the fact that the Vaygr went undetected far behind our lines despite the fact that we now have Nalthoran recon ships with hi-tech sensors available and that they should have detected these craft before this point. Secondly, why would the Vaygr have resourcers out this far without a refinery or carrier? Investigaton will be carried out by the HN Depoe Bay CVL and her escort, and we will be stepping up patrols. The supplies IS-332504 were delivering should help us modify our standard sensors to cope with the hostile environment. You are free to offer your hypothises on this incedent, though your main task remains unchanged aside from the order to stay vigilant. Dispatch recon ships and probes into areas of significance, double the guard of your merchant and supply ships, and increase patrol density. Watsas out. -Rear Admaral I. ATTN: Admiral Watsas, Seraphim, Donitere Date: 15/4/9620-GSY Subject: Disturbing Location: HN Relentless II CVHA-28, Ezra Shanir system Indeed this Vaygr action is most disturbing. I seriously doubt this is a flanking force, or at least not a standard one. No flanking force would give away their presence by attacking such a ''lowly'' target. The resources are also strange for a flanking force. However as you said it is very strange we didn't detect them even with the addition of the advanced Nalthoran sensor ships. It seems we are dealing with an Advanced EW vessel and this is most disturbing. Admiral Seraphim, due to this recent raid I decided against sending a quick reaction force to the nebula. However the Nalthoran Majestic class I'vod'thor is tasked to recon the area before our arrival. The combination of sensor jamming equipment and advanced sensors should prove adequate in detecting any threat. I have authorized the captain to communicate with your cruisers using only BNCCS (Background noise camouflaged comunication system) as to shorten the recon and help in the event of hostilities. - Fleet Admiral V. OOC: I am pleased to announce the official resumption of Operation Fallen winter RP. We'll pick up pretty much where we all left off and continue on at this point. However, I am still willing to accept new players (hiigaran Reinforcements transferred in to secure Hiigaran dominance in the area, following the confirmation of the presance of Imperial Taiidan units). One subplot I've been toying with is the implimntation of all these newfangled starships (because all previous iterations of this RP are based in PDS beta 7) on both sides beginning to appear. So from an ingame prospective, we don't know anything yet about certian Vaygr ships like Battle barges of Thunderer corvettes or Double Dragon interceptors, so their apperance will play into the storyline, and we have yet to recive delivery of any of the new Hiigaran ships like the L-X-30s or Leviathan DNs (though a group of them have been dispatched for combat evaluation purposes) *** ATTN: HN STRATCOM (Forwarded to Admarals Nabaal, Seraphim, Donitere, and Ko'malak for evaluation) Date: 20/4/9620-GSY Subject: Combat Evaluation Report Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Planetary Fragments cluster CC8-046785g, Ezra Shanir system In the time since the vaygr raid on IS-332504 there have been no sensor contacts with any Vaygr ships within our AO, and we have fully deployed the Nalthoran HESP (Hostile Environment Sensor Platform) craft around our battlegroups. Currently, we are deploying combat space patrols around the system, but these must be limited in duration due to the high radiation in the sector. Furthermore, we are experiancing unforseen problems with some of our equipment due to the unique close stellar proximity environment. Several of my ships are reporting problems with corrosion of sensitive, unshielded electronics, beam weapon focusing lenses, laser sensor arrays, and the PDA systems on many of our resource collectors and repair bots. Besides this, several of our resourcer crews have come down with minor radiation sickness due to their exposure. We can treat it, but we are temporarily going to have to suspend mining operations or operate on far shorter shifts. On that topic, our mining crews have found something interesting in the fragments field... Daimonds, and lots of 'em. We belive the area we call Cluster-88564, or 'The Quarry' used to be part of the core of a planet formerly inhabiting the system. The high heat and pressures there have created MASSIVE Daimond deposits, as well as other extremely valuble minerals which are now exposed and ripe for the picking. However, this presents us with a problem, our resourcers are not equipped for this kind of work, and that combined with the radiation is making it impossible it effectively mine the daimonds from the area. We're getting equipment failures, drillbits are breaking down, PDA's don't seem to like breaking down daimond, and we've even had to resort to using a modified Tulwar frigate to use it's IC-100s to break up some of the larger asteroids. However, the potential value of this area is enormous. So I am requesting a ComLog batallion of some sort equipped for this kind of thing be sent here as soon as we secure the area. The daimond cluster is large, and the Vaygr are probably aware of it. So we should concentrate our CSP in this area. Regarding the unidentified object detected on the 16th, we have confirmed that is is in fact a large derelict, probably of Bentusi or T-MAT origin, and probably ancient. This is based on medium range scans through the dust cloud and Hi-resolution telescope images of the hull. We can now see there are two objects in the area, one immense vessel roughly 2km in length, and a smaller cruiser sized craft. Radiation is making it difficult to do any deep scans, so we have very little information beyond this. Finally, Admaral Ko'Malak has reported to have cleared out Nord Kavagrad and is splitting his forces up. He's sending his baseship, primary mining detail, and strikecraft hives to Ezra Shanir, while his main force heads to back up Admaral Donitere in Kechlyr. Backup forces are already in Nord Kavagrad and have set up a staging area for our southern punch into the Ostana region. Thank you for your concern, Admaral Watsas out. -Rear Admaral I. OOC: And so it continues... ATTN: Admirals Watsas, Seraphim, Donitere, Ko'Malak Date: 20/4/9620-GSY Subject: Status Report Location: HN Relentless II CVHA-28, ESO-2116 Dense asteroid field, approximately 3.2 AU's from the Cluster8856, Ezra Shanir system Good to hear from you Admiral Watsas, it's been far too long. These past few days have been rather ''interesting'', if you could call them that. Besides the failures you mentioned above, we've been having comunication problems. The attempts made to correct these errors have been met with a limited degree of success, thus we requested an Advanced engineering team to be dispatched ASAP. The resource collector problem is quite ironical, with such rich deposits. WE tried to automate resource collectors but the inability to perform complex operations lead to it's failure. Our only reassurance is that the Vaygr are most certainly having the same problem. Speaking of the Devil, we had 3 confirmed contacts with the Vaygr, and 2 more probable. All of them where scout forces with an ''Assassin'' frigate at their core. A small skirmish occurred 26.3 standard hours ago between the 112th Recon force and a Vaygr scout force. Both sides retreated with no casualties. However we need a decisive push in this system, I don't want to get bogged down like in New Colorado. Proper recon data should be acquired beforehand, of course. The relics we encountered are most interesting. We will inspect them once the engineering team gets here with a ''proper vessel for this job'' as they call it. I still don't know what it is except it's a ''new development'' and it's existence is classified level ''Zulu 4''. - Fleet Admiral V. B. ATTN: Admaral Nabaal Date: 21/4/9620-GSY Subject: Area Recon Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Fringes of Cluster-88564, Ezra Shanir System Well, I've recived word from STRATCOM, relayed Via Admaral Ko'malak. They sounded a bit peeved that I (just) officially requested delivery of a group of L-X-30A Pocket Battleships and Linebacker-HESPs delivered, and now I want a full mining detail, salvage team, and archaeological group to investigate those wrecks. What do those pricks know this is war, not a local supermarket, and they're not actually paying for anything out of their own pockets. They are sending all that stuff though, and I estimate that it will arrive within 48 hours. This unit will consist of a convoy of a few armored freighters, heavy mining ships, resource collectors, and shielded salvage corvettes. The convoy has a few Callisto and Arcadia cruisers escorting, but they'll be blind in this nebula. So I need someone to go to the slipgate and escort them to the staging area. Ko'malak's re-inforcements will arrive in about three days, and those L-X-30s in about a week. They are sending them all the way from Coruc-Tel and they're part of a general reinforcement force to bulk up our forces in the area. One thing worries me though. I haven't heard from admaral Donitere in over a week. It may just me the Nebula scrambling the comms, but that still shouldn't have resulted in this kind of blackout. STRATCOM is investigating, but we have our own job to do. -Rear Admaral I. Watsas, 308th LCD/56th TSOG Joint Task Force, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 1337-4229 |

ATTN: Admiral Wastas Date: 22/4/9620-GSY Subject: Mining Group Arrival Location: HN Sabre D-IIFM-24, Slipgate E-8 Egress Route Greetings, gentlemen. I have been recently reassigned to your theater following the destruction of my TF as the result of a Vaygr ambush in the galactic West. We were conducting basic recon operations in the G-9-15 Dust Cloud (Dyanna Sector) when we came across an abandoned mining outpost. Our TFCOM ordered an investigation, and several frigates went to dock. I was suspicious and suggested moving to defensive formations, but the Commander disagreed. In spite of this, I ordered a course plotted to the nearest possible jump co-ordinates and sounded General Quarters. I was right to do so, for when the four Marine Frigates had docked, the mining base exploded, rending the planetoid it was build upon in two. Through the abyss screamed squadron after squadron of Vaygr fighters, as a hyperspace gate began to initialise behind them. I ordered all fire directed at the gate, but it was no use. By the time we had fired two salvos the battle was over. The TF Flagship, HGNS Antares was destroyed, and our forces routing. With Commander Kallan dead, I relayed map co-ordinates and ordered a retreat. There was no-one to stop me. By the time we re-grouped at the jump point, there were only four ships left- the Linebacker-class HN Unseen, the heavily damaged HN Njalan Prince of Hiigara BCE, the Arcadia HN Knight, and of course my own ship. Even after making a short escape jump we spent a week playing cat-and-mouse in asteroid fields before we could escape the Vaygr patrols and safely have a window to transmit a SITREP to HQ. Even so, a Vay patrol triangulated our postion from this transmission, and the HN Njalan was tragically lost when the critically-damaged vessel rammed a Kalifah BB to enable our escape. But enough of such matters. I was sent to escort this convoy with the remains of my TF and await your instructions. I have two squadrons of LSFs, but cannot conduct more than a close in CAP due to sensor interference and logistics. Also, any sensor probes I send out simply just disappear. Is this normal in this theater of operations? Some of the readings from our own onboard array have to be ghosts- one intermittent reading was so large that I haven't seen anything like it since fleet training in the Tanis wreck! In any case, we should be at the staging area by 0900. Attached is my TF roster. Out. ATTN: Cpt Lynham Date: 22/4/9620-GSY Subject: Tasking/Report on Recent encounter Location: HN Willamatte CVH-68, Daimond Cluster-88564, Ezra Shanir System Good to see you Captain Lynham, you're well ahead of scedual. Well, I'd like you to move to my position, but be on alert as there may be Vaygr stragglers in the AO. Admaral Nabaal should be sending an escort force into the area. I'd like you to move with all haste to my position. Once the convoy arrives at the staging area, you are to dock your ship with SY-30 for resupply. While there you will be fitted with ultra high fidelidy nebula sensors. After that, you will be assigned to combat space patrol of the Daimond field. But I will give a full briefing at the time you are to depart. Dormally I would have you as a bombardment ship attached to my main line of Majiirians, but your ship is fast enough that I'd rather use it for area patrol duties. *** One other thing I would use this oppurtunity to say, we have finally had an encounter with a Vaygr force in the outer bands of the Daimond field. One of my patrols encountered an enemy battleship and some resourcers in the far side of the sector. AAR to follow. The majority of the journey was uneventful until a lone vaygr probe was detected. The Haruna's crew traced the signals back to a nearby battleship overseeing what appears to be a small resource operation. They destroyed the Vaygr probes and seeded the area with their own. Once they got a ping on the enemy battleship, they moved into a multi directional attack vector and prepared to engage. The Haruna deployed Strategic interceptors to engage the enemy cruiser, while my fast attack frigates and light cruiser moved into position. The SDIs distracted the cruiser's fighter screen, which was quickly destroyed by coordinated fire from the Cutlasses and frigates. The Strategic interceptors however had been forced into an angle where the enemy battleship could track, and one was shot down by a directed particle weapon. By that point, the Haruna and the Cajun had begun bombarding the enemy cruiser with hypervelocity torpedoes and barrages of thermonuclear railgun slugs. This hit the enemy ship at a full broadside, causing severe structural damage and preventing it from launching additional fighters or drones. The Frigates and Cutlasses moved forward for a follow up attack at close range, however, the enemy crusier swung around and fired it's dorsal VLS battery to break up the frigate squadron. Several Cutlasses and one frigate were damaged by the salvo, and the Vaygr ship followed up with cannon fire, destroying the stricken frigate. However, the rest of the frigates quickly flanked high and supressed the missile tubes and dorsal weapon mounts. At this point, the Haruna had also launched a wing of bombers to egress and surround the enemy ship, while the two beam attack frigates covered the advance. Several of the bombers were riddled with fire from the surviving dorsal CIWS turrets and broadside Plasma Lances. However, these turrets were destroyed by percision beam fire. The surviving bombers continued to pelt the Battleship with hypervelocity cannon rounds and point blank range. Finally, the coordinated fire proved too much for the Vaygr battleship, and it's reactor went critical. The aft secton of the ship was completely vaporised, and the forward area gutted by the detonation of the forward Crusader-Trinity lance battery and ammo magazines. The presance of an enemy Battleship away from any supporting assets and this close to our lines indicates that it may have had some special purpose in mind, or that the Vaygr are having trouble with coordinating their operations in this hostile environment. We are continuing our investigation. -Rear Admaral I. Watsas, 308th LCD/56th TSOG Joint Task Force, Hiigaran Navy, SN: 1337-4229 Edited by Ironwatsas on 11-10-2007 13:32 |

ATTN: Admiral Wastas Date: 22/4/9620-GSY Subject: Attempted Ambush Location: 3 Parsecs from SY-30 Secure Staging area As I am sure you are aware, we have falled behind schedule, and for this I apologise. One of my probes returned a faint signal indicating a manouvring metallic object amongst the nebula. Once I sent out two more probes, I was certain. Using only brief pings, I was able to establish the enemy fleet size and location. I deployed sensor disruption bouys around my civvies and moved on an intercept course with HN Unseen to give me some degree of surprise. Despite our size, we managed to get within forty kilometres of them before we were detected- it was just a recon and resourcing party, but they clearly are aware of our supply lines being in the area, for they were in formation, powered down, with sensors off trying to act like parts of the asteroid field. At 1900 standard time we were sure this was the full enemy opposition present, and I scrambled my fighters, powering up sensors and opening fire. The were completely unprepared, and were destroyed utterly before my fighters even closed to firing range.
