I am having severe issues with my internets recently, regarding websites dissapearing randomly while I am Typing/posting into them. It is making it impossible to post anything larger then Shoutbox spam or single paragraph posts. So far, it has only effected me here in PDS.HWAcess.net, Relicforums, and the External Gallery, and has not affected me when simply browsing the internets, playing games, writing in offline TXT files, or in IRC. However, this is making it impossible to write or reply to PMs, RPs, Idea dumps, or long posts. The effect is basically like closing out of the window (clicking the X at the top right), but occuring without my input and while I'm typing, attachind images/files/etc, and sometimes when I leave the computer temporarily and am in the other room. Infact, I had to write this in a TXT file and copy/paste it to the forum, as the first three times were pwnd by this issue. Has anyone encountered this before, and how do you get by if so? Is this a Virus? Is it a }{4X0r? Is it my computer just being Fuxx0rd up? Whatever it is, it is disrupting my interaction with the Internets and PDS, rendering me unable to complete my tasks. (Note: This has not so far affected my writing E-Mails via comcast, but I havent done so since this began and cannot confirm this activity in that situation.) |

Try deleteing all your Temp Internet files, cookies, and all that other crap. If that dosent work, reinstall IE, or whatever you use.

Try a different internet browser, Opera and Firefox are good alternatives.

Sounds like malware to me, I had something like that a while back - suggest using AVGFree or something to see if you've got unwanted crap in the system. |

Yes, that would explain a lot, and It wouldn't hurt to check if I have any nasties infecting the Watsascomputer. So, where would I go to get AVGFree? |

Actually no, don't use AVG. It has a pretty low rate of detection. I recommend using Antivir, it's usually pretty high on the charts. Charts, for the record, ~ http://winnow.oitc.com/AntiVirusPerformance.html http://www.free-av.com/ "Understanding is limited, knowledge is not."
