I was just wondering if there was a way to make non-controllable units. Because, I would like to have fighter drones come out of my ship, and when they have finished fighting, go back in. Or, if there was a way to make a missile with weapons on it that self-destructed after the battle. Please don't baffle me with PDS-speak because I almost a complete newb. I can go as far as changing a weapon on a ship, but that is about it. Thanks in advance. |

Only way i can think would to script it so that a button spawns a allied cpu ship. From a carrier or something that can make your ship in question. Give it an order to attack the closest enemy, maybe within a volume, and if not dock and retire? Go to the wiki and experiment. http://wiki.hw2.info/KarosGraveyard http://wiki.hw2.info/FunctionReference |

What you want has been done by game rule scripting. It is in the Unsung Era version of the mod. Grab it there: http://www.pds.homeworldaccess.net/fo...post_10004 Then try the battle carrier game type (in multiplayer). If that's more or less what you have in mind, you can have a look at the data/leveldata/multiplayer/battlecarrier.lua at your own risk! That is a rather complex peace of script by appolyon. Maybe something simpler can be worked out, but this script laid down the basis for it. *gives an Unsung Era cookie to Mostly_Harmless* |
