I'm having a difficult time figuring out the exact version numbers of the PDS files in the download section. Note that I have been scouring the forums and news archives for days now and have yet to figure this out. My confusion is due to the fact that in various posts and whatnot PDS 7.2 and 7.3 have been mentioned numerous times. Yet when I browse the downloads I only see that the PDS specific files only list up to 7.0. Checking the filefront directory I can see that there is a 7.1 test PDS, and then the next number above that is 8.0 beta 1. I wish to play through the single player campaign with the most recent version of PDS. So in short, my question is thus; Is the 7.0 PDS download actually the 7.2/7.3 revision? Or should I be downloading the 8.0 PDS beta package? Edited by Hudsonkm on 15-03-2006 08:03 |

Download Pds 7.0 (not the .big version) Download 8.0 beta I (at this place: http://files.filefront.com/PDS_V80_Phase_I_Beta/;4816736;;/fileinfo.html) and patch it to the 7.0 files (replacing files when necessary; never replace folders). PS '8.0' is misleading, but as Filefront's utilities to rename/delete files have been off for a while there would be no point in bugging Tel to change the name of this file |
