I just tried PDS for the first time by DLing PDS7. According to the main screen, I should be able to play the single-player campaign, but it crashes when I click on it. Anyone else have this problem? How did you solve it? Also, I seem to have some graphic errors displaying what I think are beam weapons. The colors look really wrong. What should I do? |

I am not aware of anybody having a problem with the main menu screen. It looks like a conflict with other mod files. Did you download the big version or the other? Does HW2 crash from the main menu screen or do you see the mission selection menu? Did you clear all your profiles (you should do it when playing campaigns with different mods)? As for your second issue, a screenshot would help Sometimes a beam can look weird on maps with a high glare intensity. |

I had the same problem. I fixed it by deleting my personal profile. When I did that, I fixed my crash to desktop problem. As far as online play, all those chat rooms are for the vanilla version of the game. Due to you loading up a modded version, you have to find someone that is running the same mod as you to play online. |

It's possible to retain PDS maps without necessarily running the -overridebigfile command. This is because the .big files are loaded up first in normal operations, henceforth already replacing any files that are loaded after the .big files are loaded. Since there are no such maps as the ones PDS use, they upload those as well. This also accounts for why audio additions stay even if you do not place the -overridebigfile command. |

Ok. Moving my profile got the campaign to work. Here's a screenshot of me playing that campaign. Please note the barber-shop stripe of my weapons fire

Noted. There's nothing you can do about that. Its just poor graphics on the game's part. ![]() |
