Hi evrybody! I actually write a movie project based on hw2. I would like to know if i can use pds mod to make it. If mod staff is ok for using the mod, wich names and persons do i have to mention in the credits at the end of the movie ? Keep up the good work, this mod is the best ever. Gratz again, Bye! I'm perfectly okay with it. Don't worry about crediting just inform that it is made with PDS and which version. Thanks for your interest. |

Well ok. First, I'm french (hope you dont hate frenchies, don't worry i'm cool )I already made some movies based on videogames. Guild Wars, Freelancer, Eve online, but it was trailers or short movies, less than 5 or 10 minutes. Nothing serious. A friend gave me HW2 few months ago , and i was "damn-wtf-omg-holy sh..." surprised!! This game is the way to do a real Space War movie. I mean, i always wanted to do such a movie, but no games could handle the project. Hw2 does. I already wrote somes scripts : - about "action" Battles scripts are inspired by space simulation games like Starlancer, or Freelancer and recent war movies. It has to be nervous, no time to take a breathe. i want them fast and spectacular. - about music Music will be a mix between different themas. OST, electro songs (prodigy, chemical brothers, lunatic calm...), maybe rock... i dont fix anything yet. But their similar point : nervous and "speed" tracks. they have to follow the action. And for me music is as important as visual action. - about dialogues What kind of movies is mute today ^^ ?? I started to write with a friend (who is better than me in english) dialogues. I'll use Voice designer plugin and cubase for recording them. I've already done this in the past for other projects and it worked pretty good. - technical issues I've done some tests resolution screen, CG tests and results are.... damn hot! I'll record with fraps and fps are damn good (around 40 and 50 fps) Movie will be monted with Premiere Pro CS3. Moviemaker is... well, good for home movies, not for that kind of stuff . The goal of this project is not to make money, it's just for fun. I want the sci-fi addicts and space-everything-like fans to be stucked to their seat and pleased when they'll se the movie. It will not be a simple "music video". I want to do something more "scenarized" (dont know how to say it in english) , with a touch of drama. i dont fix the lenght but i guess it will be between 40 mns and an hour. That's it!  |
