Odd bug involving MS in SP Campaign
the nothing
It goes a little something like this:

I get on a certain mission (in particular, M02 or M07)
I save the game, or the game does an autosave at an important point.
I get ground into dust by the enemy.
I reload the game. Upon completion of reloading, the game is so choppy and laggy to the point of unplayability-the units, projectiles, even my mouse cursor teleport everywhere. This all stops when I pause the game.
Now the odd parts-when I start the mission from scratch, the choppiness is gone. Even more odd is that if I move the MS before saving, the choppiness doesn't strike upon reloading that save.

This is more likely a game problem as opposed to a vid card or other hardware problem (although I am running a godawful caveman era GeForce MX440), most likely due to that bit with moving the MS and such.

Has anyone experienced something as odd as this?

Hmm, I guess it must be a "me only" thing... but I have concluded this: the whole bit about moving the MS before saving turned out false. I'm still trying to isolate this problem, and now I'm starting to think that it stops when I save and reload after having completed a certain objective.

I've had a similiar problem, on MO7. I think its linked to a particular ship - often the choppiness ceases after the destruction of the Vaygr shipyard. Not sure what causes it, but I do think it's a game problem. Annoying, though. Pfft

Yeah I had that problem in PDS 6. As near as I can figure, when you reaload in the game, not all the data is properly unloaded, so basically there is no free memory to use in the reloaded game. Best solutions I use; reload the entire game (quit and start up), or when you lose, just go to main menu and reload from there.

Well... I'm starting to think it's related to enemy carriers. After I eliminated the carrier on M02, the choppiness disappeared. I imagine the same would go for M07, because every save that I made after all the enemy carriers (not the shipyard, even) were destroyed had no chopiness.
