Introduction of Everyone
Grande Fromage
Hi all, I am Faron from Tampa, FL, I am 30 years of age, happily married and work as a senior systems engineer for a local telecom service provider.
I have all 3 iterations of the HW game and I can say it is my all time favorite RTS... now with PDS improvements, it is encased in glass and admired upon daily (sort-of-speak).
I love what the PDS group has done with this project and how it continues to keep my attention even when I need to dodge hurricanes.
Keep it up!!

Hello, comrades. The name's Daniel Hawking, currently a resident of the sunny Western Coast of America, San Francisco Bay Area. I started following PDS right when 6.0 came out. I'm a newcomer to the Homeworld world, but I'm enjoing every minute of it. I am singlehandedly responsible for the Homeworld clans across my school, of which some run PDS (6.1, I haven't given out 7.0) and of which some walk PDS. (Har har.)

I have enjoyed naval military history from a young age, and loved science fiction since I knew there was such a thing. A creative mind has led me to "design" several of my own space cruising battle ships, unfortunately they might never leave the paper. XD

I help out whenever I can - but I'm still doing my homework for school!

I think that's about it. =D

I'm Richard from England, like Strategy games and Sci-Fi, that's why I like Homeworld, except from PDS, my favourite ship is the LiirHra, though this may be replaced by the QJE when I can get my hands on it, congrats to the Dev team.

Greetings, my name is Kevin. I'll withdraw my last name for some security purposes but I'm sure it's not of much important. I'm nearly 15, a month away actually, and joined the PDS community during the 4.8 and 4.9 stages. Up until now, on the old site, I was an avid poster and topic debater and occasionally did some sporadic bursts of modding. None of it actually contributed much and as I look back I got pretty annoying. So my shoutbox priviliges got removed and that was a big wake-up call for me.

So now I just visit the forums to help out other with problems, even that can be troublesome though, so I've tried to keep out of discussions beyond my understanding. I still create maps though I've been somewhat apathetic about it, and it's been a dreadfully long time since I've released one.

Nevertheless, I'm glad to see PDS has moved to a new site. I'll try and do my best to keep myself from being an annoying spammer Tel, so no worries.

Hello.

I'm from London, in the U.K.

Got PDS a little while back. Joined the site a little while later.

Whilst I've been having serious troubles with one of the missions(I guess I think and act too slow...)...I find it enjoyable. I could watch the chaos on screen all day....

All I really want is to understand the game properly...I doubt I'll be able to really contribute. I mean, I know nothing of the military like everyone else here, apparently.

Hi folks,

I am now a PhD/MBA student in Claremont, southern CA near Los Angeles. I'm working for an academic lab and with a company in Mass. that is doing DARPA research work for the US Army. Have been a military history/sci-fi fan for quite a while, especially WWII and modern ground/naval combat. Been playing PDS for a while (first version I played still had that placeholder model for the Avenger) - and hoping to help however I can to contribute to v7.0, the latest and greatest.

aka "karmafarmer" on the old site and an old fart. I'm probably old enough to most of y'alls father. My first computer was a Sinclair ZX-80 with a whopping 24k of RAM.

All that aside, I'm a registered nurse who has built and rebuilt my PC several times. And having been a fan of the genre since the original 'Homeworld' came out, the accomplishments of the good folks at PDS have made HW2 what it should have been. They have breathed new life into HW universe, and I wish them continued success,

Hey

I?m Grant, I?m 21 and I?m from Scotland. I?ve been a gamer since I was wee, will play just about anything. Only found PDS about a month ago, so I?m kinda new, but damn does it ROCK Smile

Am currently an undergraduate student at Heriot-Watt uni, so I got plenty of time but no money.

I can quite often be found in the hw2 multiplayer lobby?s under t same name (DogMeat) so say hi if you on and maybe we and catch a game Smile

the problem isn't that people are breeding like rabbits, its that we're not dying like flys

Warman1
Hello name's Marcus 15 soon to be 16. Little experience on modeling, part of the Space Combat Evolved mod that was formerly for HW 2 (HW-Halo TC) which is recently porting over to the up and comming game Star Wars Empire at War where we can not only do space combat but ground combat as well.

Big fan of sci fi and loves to suggest ideas to PDS (none accepted so far but has hopes for the EW drones).

Hi all,

My name's Harwood and I hail from the Washington, DC area. I'm 33 and recently (June) married to a woman who hates cellphones and computers. I am a Deskside Tech at the Dept. of Energy - basic meathead Tech Support.
Been following PDS for several months now, ever since I stumbled upon it while researching patches... I'd played the original once through, then put it aside. I think that at the time, Dark Age of Camelot had me by the short-and-curlies; I couldn't resist the siren call of that game once I'd been sucked across its event horizon.
Been taking a break from World of Warcraft - and just recently reinstalled Freespace II, a bad-ass FPS space game... it is being in an Avenger's cockpit. HW2 is being a Fleet Commander, Freespace II is being the Wing Commander Wink
But PDS is absolutely captivating. A finished, seamless mod that exponentially increases the original value of the game. Who'd of thunk it? Well, you guys did and I am mightily impressed.

May you have everything you wish for and the time to enjoy it (just don't wish for angry giant squids).
Harwood aka Schumador
